This is an amazing book about a girl named Tess who lives on an island in Maine. When a family moves to the mainland, the state of Maine threatens to shut down the school.Tess' family then takes in a 13year old named Aaron. Aaron can really play the trumpet, but is shy and often grumpy. Can tess and her fiveyearold sister, Libby, help Aaron feel comfortable, or will Aaron leave and the school shut down? this great read by Cynthia Lord is amazing, and i would recommend all of her books, including Rules. FIVE STARS
Public School Superhero
By James Patterson, Chris Tebbetts
Public School Superhero is about a boy named Kenny, who lives in Washington DC, goes to Union Middle School, stands up to the town, and gets called 'grandma's boy', because his grandma walks him to school. I'm rating five stars, because it's a bold book.
Cristiano Ronaldo: The Ultimate Fan Book
By Iain Spragg
Im not a fan of Real Madrid or Ronaldo I'm a fan of FC Barcelona and MSN Messi Neymar Suarez but I hope this book is great.
Leonardo's Shadow: Or, My Astonishing Life as Leonardo da Vinci's Servant
By Christopher Grey
I absolutely love this novel because, unlike most books, it starts of at an exciting pace. It's about this boy who think his master is mean, but he loves him anyway. Leonardo is in a struggle in painting the Last Supper, since he held it off for years. He then has to finish it in a month.
Who Is Michael Jordan? (Who Was?)
By Kirsten Anderson, Who HQ
I give this book a 5 star because if you really like basketball this is probably the book for you. It is a very exciting book it makes you not want to put the book down. It gives you a lot of facts about his childhood and the things he is doing right now and why he is one of the best basketball players right now. I made a lot of connections in this book one of them is when he had pain in his knees and he was wondering why he was having pain in his knees when he went to the doctor they said it was just growing pains, I get pain in my knees too and it is because I am growing. another connection I made is when he dreams of making a D1 school and playing on the varsity team and then going to the NBA to be a superstar. I have the same dreams I dream of going to a D1 school and then making an NBA team.
The Million Dollar Kick
By Dan Gutman
I would give this book a 5 star because it talks about soccer and I like soccer. The connection I made with this book is that the main character plays soccer and so do I. This book talks about this girl who plays in a game and then she gets the ball, but then she ran at the goalie and scored. The goal she scored was her own goal. She had scored an own goal. After that she had a bunch of negative thoughts until there was a contest where she had to shoot against a pro goalie and if she scored she gets one million dollars. When she did it she scored. She got 1 million dollars. Then they talked about her life after that. She got confidence back and she had the courage to learn how to actually play soccer.
Nancy Kerrigan: In My Own Words
By Nancy Kerrigan, Steve Woodward
This was a very good book I learned a lot from it since I had to write a report and be Nancy Kerrigan. This book talks about how Nancy Kerrigan got to be in the olympics. Then a couple competitions later Tanya Hardings ex boyfriend hit Nancy kerrigan and couldn't skate that competition. Also it talked about when her birthday was and when she was a little kid she started figure skating at the age of 6.My connection to this book is that i'm a figure skater and I want to be in the olympics.I gave this book a 5 star review because, it was an interesting and great book!

They said why he said theres a curse and they practiced there edges on a pond they found finally they were ready Alex went first and he did it he broke the curse! My connection is that i'm a figure skater and sometimes my coach says that i'm not good enough and i prove her wrong. I gave this a 5 because it was a great book and it was an adventure reading it!!
Heir Apparent
By Vivian Vande Velde
Heir Apparent is the story where Giannine is stuck in a hyper-realistic virtual reality after angry protesters attack and break the life support. So now Giannine has to complete the game in a certain amount of time before she dies in real life. This book connects to me through escapism and Giannie herself. Overall, not the best I've read but not the worst, that's why it's rated 3 stars
