By Beka
It's School Night Fever in the Dance Class world! The class is abuzz with the news that Miss Anne will submit an entry for a national dance competition. The ambiance is full of jubilee - till the girls (and Bruno!) find out that Mary, their teacher and choreographer, is sick! Miss Anne decides not to send out the entry because of Mary's leave of absence, but the girls are determined to choreograph a dance. Despite everything, however, Carla persists to try and outshine everyone else - she splits apart from the group, along with her friends, to create a "better" dance! Fun and jam-packed, this graphic novel is filled with humor, romance, and edgy moves on the dance floor.

Thea Stilton #21: Thea Stilton and the Lost Letters
By Thea Stilton
Romantic, suspenseful, mysterious, and uproarious, this is one of my favorite Thea Stilton books of all time! In their twenty-first adventure, the Thea Sisters travel to Russia to watch a famous figure skating competition. They even make a new friend, Alexandria, who is a beautiful skater and sure to win the competition. But when scheming, plotting, and in turn a false accusation against Alexandria ensues, the beautiful blond figure skater is prevented from competing. The Thea Sisters are determined to get Alexandria back on the ice where she belongs, but it may be almost impossible to do it. The illustrations, writing, and mystery in this book are incredible!

Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin
By Liesl Shurtliff
This story is about 12 year old Rump-who was only given half his name before his mother died. In his town your name is your destiny - and his name is a joke. Orphaned young Rump lives with his elderly grandmother and must work in mines to find gold like everyone else. Then Rump discovers that he has inherited his mother's ability to spin straw into gold - something that his grandmother hid from him. Rump experiments with his magic, but soon find that a price comes with it. Soon Rump is forced to go on a journey and find his name and try to fix the mistakes his magic has caused. This book is a twist on the fairy-tale Rumpelstiltskin. I found it very entertaining, and there were plot twists at every corner-even though I was familiar with the classic tale and knew the general outcome of the story. The author was very creative in how she stayed true to elements of the original, but also put her own spin on the story. I recommend this book to anyone who loves fairy-tales and even those who don't. This book is great for middle grade aged kids who love adventures and fantasy, although I believe older people will also enjoy it. Overall, I rate this book 4 out of 5 stars
