This book is about where third children are illegal in the future. This is a science fiction book that comes in a series, right now I'm the 7th final book "Among the Free" it's pretty good so far but right now I'm going to focus on "Among the Hidden" so you can have some ideas of what this amazing series is about. So Luke is a thrid child has been in hiding all his life but, the woods way always there to protect him so he could go outside, play with the hogs, help with gardening & with the crops. But one day the world comes toppling down on Luke, the governor is making them sell the woods to tear it all down & build fancy houses for barons (A.K.A rich people.) Luke has to go back into hiding, is no longer able to go outside, no longer to go by windows nor in the kitchen. He has to start eating his meals on the bottom of the stairs. He lives in the attic & found a vent where he can peer out of. While all the barons have left for work, all the kids going to school Luke sees something in the house right next to his. Are his eyes playing tricks on him? What did he see?? Read the book to find out this mysterious Sci-Fi series that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

It is okay to me but it will be epic to you but I would recommend relistic fiction books.

Luke is a third child who isn't supposed to exist. The government has limited families to having any more than two children. One day Luke looks out his window and sees another face in a house which he knows already has 2 children. So he decides to investigate by going to the house where he saw the face. In the house he met a girl named Jen. Jen is different from the people that Luke knows which doesn't mean a lot because Luke only knows his mom, his dad, his brother Matthew, and his brother Mark. He finds that Jen is brave and adventurous and is up for anything unlike his brothers Matthew and Mark who make fun of Luke and are lazy and inconsiderate.

This book is an excellent portrayal of a fictional society where birth control is required. An entertaining read that provoked me because of the strong characters. Though I think the author shouldn't have killed Jen that quickly...it was really disappointing to me.

A lot of people recommended it to me. I'm going to read it.

I just started this book. SO SAD! I can't wait for more!

I don't like it. It gave me 3 NIGHTMARES IN 1 WEEK! And it's sad at the end. I rate this book a 2 out of 5
