Nikki really wants to have an awesome birthday party, however the money she needs for it goes over budget. She had originally wanted something smaller, but her best friends convinced her to throw a pool party. When her little sister, Brianna, starts selling dog treats, she teams up with Nikki and they earn a lot of money. With this money, Nikki gets enough to have her birthday party and have some money leftover as well. Nikki also has decided that she is going to tour with her friends instead of going to Paris. Overall, this book was funny and I recommend it to people who enjoy the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series or the other Dork Diaries books. I rate this book 5/5.

I LOVE this book SO much!!! It's amazing!I love dork diares!!

My parent purchased this book on my birthday and it was my favorite present of the day! Nikki Maxwell, against her better judgment, decides to host a huge luau-themed birthday bash by renting out the town pool. She plans all the little details with her enigmatic BFFs, Chloe and Zoey, and suddenly her party spirals into a huge blowout bash with a zip line, gourmet food, and the works. By the end, Nikki is actually excited about everything...just not the price. When her mom finds out that her planned party will cost about $500, she puts a stop to the whole thing and sets a budget of $100 to Nikki's party. $100?! That's barely enough for the food! Nikki's situation worsens as her mom continues to plan the party, adding belly dancers and a disgusting birthday cake filled with fifteen different foods, prepared by Nikki's little sister Brianna, to the mix. Can Nikki brave her financial issues, or will her birthday bash end with Pepto-Bismol and utter disgust?

Nice review @girlpower4ever!

It's Nikki Maxwell's birthday in the thirteenth installment in the blockbuster #1 New York Times bestselling Dork Diaries series! Nikki and her BFF's Chloe and Zoey are planning a birthday party of epic proportions! There's just one problem—Nikki's mom says no way to the budget they need to make it happen. Happy birthday, Nikki!

I loved this book! So finally it's almost Nikki's birthday! YAY! Or not! Nikki, her friends and her family are having a very hard time planning her birthday party! Finally the parents have a NOT good idea. Instead of the coolest stuff, they agree for cheap not so good things. Can Nikki change this and fix her party? Read this book to find out!

Nikki is planning a giant party with Chloe and Zoey. They plan a giant Luau themed Birthday party with over one hundred of Nikki's friends including Chloe and Zoey and her crush Brandon. She does eventually invite Mackenzie Hollister to her party. They need at least 250$ to rent the pool and at least 200$ to get their luau themed decorations, but Nikki has only 8.73$ and that is not close enough to their budget. She shows the plans to her mother hoping that her mother would pay for her birthday party, but Mrs. Maxwell is planning something else. Mrs. Maxwell wants to cut the budget to 100$ and even worse wants to have belly dancers to do the dancing for the party and have their party in the backyard. She starts to panic and she gives the invitations to Chloe to keep and decided that the party was canceled. The invitations get accidentally mailed out and it is an adventure to find them. Then one day when Nikki still was really sad about the invitations being lost, she has to take care of her little sister Brianna. She is watching TV when she was taking care of Brianna. Brianna goes to the bark and sells her delicious bark bites and gets a lot of money. She eventually runs out of Bark Bites and Nikki announces that the business is closed permanently, but then Brianna screams fill out these order forms or check out my website which will be coming soon. Brianna makes a deal to Nikki and said that if Nikki helps with the website than she would have half the money the earned. When Nikki added up the money it was 970$. This means that if they split it in half they would get more than 400$ each. Nikki helped with the bark bites and got the 400$. She Chloe and Zoey get all the supplies and they have a great party!

Good review, and I agree!

I don't like Dork diaries. I love them

I love this book!!!

I like how Chloe and Zoey helped Nikki. I felt their friendship so much. I also liked Brianna's wayward and scatterbrained personality. It reminded me of my little brother's personality, which is also wayward and scatterbrained.
