The adventure continues in this third book in the New York Times bestselling series.

Erdas is a land of balance. A rare link, the spirit animal bond, bridges the human and animal worlds. Conor, Abeke, Meilin, and Rollan each have this gift-and the grave responsibility that comes with it.

But the Conquerors are trying to destroy this balance. They're swallowing whole cities in their rush for power-including Meilin's home. Fed up with waiting and ready to fight, Meilin has set off into enemy territory with her spirit animal, a panda named Jhi. Her friends aren't far behind . . . but they're not the only ones.

The enemy is everywhere.

Meilin had some great characteristics in this book. I didn't like her very much at first because she was a bit bratty, but this proves that she is selfless and cares deeply for her friends and family. Rollan caught Sunset Death, and I cursed the Rino Riders for not giving him the seeds. Poor Meilin. Her father died at Dinesh's temple.

I loved how melin ran away from home.

I decided to read this book because it is the sequel to Wild Born and Hunted, and I really liked both of those books. I think the book was really good.

The end got interesting still I wonder how dinesh was that strong I also like birds of prey

it was cool I like abeke and uraza and rollan and his spirit animal and briggan of course .. p.s. I love wolves

This book is my favorite book in the series it has a sad ending but it just makes everyone work harder.

It is a little boring at the beginning

As Merlin chose to leave the Greencloaks, she was then lost and starving in the Bamboo Wall that surrounds part of Zhong. She met a retired Greencloak, who led her back to her father. Meanwhile, Conor, Rollan, and Abeke have to pose as puppeteers to get through a Conquerer-Infested city. Merlin eventually decides to come back to the Greencloaks, and helps to NOT FORCEFULLY get the tailsman from the elephant. They suceed, but Merlin's father dies in the struggle. I would TOTALLY reccomend this book to... welll... ANYONE! It TOTALLY deserves 5 stars!
