Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself. Until the Minotaur chases him to summer camp. Suddenly, mythical creatures seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. The gods of Mount Olympus, he's coming to realize, are very much alive in the twenty-first century. And worse, he's angered a few of them: Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy has just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property, and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. On a daring road trip from their summer camp in New York to the gates of the Underworld in Los Angeles, Percy and his friends -- one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena -- will face a host of enemies determined to stop them. To succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of failure and betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

This book is very good. If you have dyslexia like Percy does,or you don't like reading much this is easier to read and it has great visuals. I have read all of Riordan's PJATO and HOO books, and they would also be great if they were in comic form, too.

PERCY IS A GOOD BOY IN THE BOOK

I have read the book and it is SO good that I want to keep on reading the book but then I lost it and I cannot find the book now and I saw it at the movie theater and that it had 3D glasses there that made the screen SO BIG that it was unbelievable to see and that I would definitely recommend this book to everybody in the world.

I thought this was a good book. It was very detailed and I really like the story line. This is the story of Percy Jackson a boy with dyslexia and ADHD. Strange things start to happen to him so his best friend Grover and Percys mom tell Percy to leave and they set off to an unknown camp. On the way to the camp, they get chased by a giant monster and they have to get out of the car and run. Percy finds out that Grover is half person half goat. They have to run through the forest untill they get to the camp. When they get to the camp Percy and Grover get in but Percy's mom wasnt able to get in.When Percy looks at te camp name it is in ancient greek but, his dislexia moves the words around and it says ''Camp Half Blood''. The giant monster gets Percys mom. I have already said to much so ill leave it up to you to find out if Percy gets his mom back or not. READ THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best book ever!! If I had to choose who my greek god parent was it would definately be Athena just like Annabeth. I am very smart if I do say so myself and I am freakishly afraid of spiders.
