All he lacks in his plans for dominion is the One Ring -- the ring that rules them all -- which has fallen into the hands of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins. In a sleepy village in the Shire, young Frodo Baggins finds himself faced with an immense task, as his elderly cousin Bilbo entrusts the Ring to his care. I loved this book that was full of adventure! I loved this book and I recommend this book to anyone that loves fictional books! It all begins when a hobbit ( read th book "The Hobbit") named Bilbo Baggins finds a ring that if worn makes the bearer invisible. When Bilbo turns 111 he has a big party where he mysteriously disappears by putting on the ring and leaves the Shire ( were hobbits live) and leaves the ring to his cousin Frodo before he leaves. When Frodo receives the ring little does he realize that the ring has powers that are dark. An old wizard named Gandalf reveals the powers that the owner the Dark Lord put in it. Frodo and his friends go on an adventure to try to get rid of the ring, he meets new friends that will help him on the way but also meets enemies that will make the journey tough. Read the Fellowship of the Ring which is a series to find out more!

It's a great book you should definetly read it, I recomend it for anyone who likes, action, adventure, and of course lots of supernatural things

This is the second book to ever be written in the land of Middle Earth. As we find out from The Hobbit, Bilbo gets a magic ring after a game of riddles with Gollum. This ring is The One Ring, forged in Mount Doom by the dark lord Sauron, with an inscription: One ring to rule them all. One ring to find them. One ring to rule them all, and in the darkness, bind them. This ring is a powerful object, as all who seek to control it, become controlled themselves. It seeks it's master and will stop at nothing to get back to Sauron. This ring is entrusted to Frodo Baggins, the nephew of Bilbo Baggins. As Gandalf leads him to Rivendel, they find it cannot stay there, and must be destroyed. The Fellowship of The Ring must take it to Mount Doom and destroy it the only way it can: By casting it into the fires from whence it came. Will they succeed? Or will Frodo fall to the same fate as the others?

I read it, and it was definitely one of the best books ever.

SO COOL!!!!!

A truly spectacular, well-thought-out book, filled with magical creatures, and written by my all time favorite author. It has stupendous characters e.g. Gandalf, Legolas, Aragorn,Bilbo Baggins (hero of The Hobbit), and many more. To me, it's even better than any of the Harry Potter books, or most any other fantasy books. Getting straight to the point: READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Fellowship of the Ring is the first book in the Lord of the Rings trilogy. It takes place in a land called Middle Earth, where an evil power has awoken again. Frodo Baggins, a Hobbit from the Shire, has to take the Ring of Power to the evil land of Mordor, with the help of the Fellowship. It's an excellent book, but it is kind of long.

This book is a great read for adventure seeking book lovers. In It Frodo the Hobbit must destroy the One Ring into the Crack of Doom to prevent the evil Lord Sauron from ruling all of Middle Earth.

I really like fantasy because I liked how there are always random charecters and I like the battle with the cave troll, i can't remember if gollum is in it though.
