This book is good, but I don't get why everybody hates slytherin. Furthermore, I don't get how Crabbe and Goyle got into the house. If they're as stupid as the book says, they shouldn't have gotten into slytherin, rather, hufflepuff, since slytherin is the " house of the cunning"

I decided to read this book when my parents played the audio book in the car. I was instantly hooked. Have read around 4 times. One of the worst mistakes someone can make in the book world is not reading the Harry Potter series

in my, opinion, this is an AMAZING book. i really thing you should read it! i mean, isn't the harry potter series the best? i have read it only once, but that doesn't mean i don't like it. it even contains what i think should be the best quote : "harry, yer a wizard.".
after you finish this one, do the rest of the series!
In my opinion this was one of THE BEST books I've ever read. Summary: Harry Potter, the main character, had to live with/get bullied by his aunt and uncle. Harry could do unusual things; he could make glass vanish, he could regrow all his hair in a night, he could even sort of fly and end up on the school roof! One day when he was fetching the mail for Uncle Vernon, he saw a letter... for him! Harry ... was a wizard.
