This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

Harry Potter was a very interesting book. It also was a good cliff hanger. This is one of the better books in the Harry Potter series. I like this book so much I read them all.

This book is about a boy named Harry Potter who's parents died because the Dark Lord, Voldemort, killed them. Harry had been sent to his aunt and uncle's house, the Dursleys, at a very young age, and was to believe that his parents had actually died in a car crash. Up until he turned eleven he had always thought that. Then Hagrid, a wizard, turned up and told him he was a wizard on his eleventh birthday. He introduced Harry to the wizarding world, and that was when Harry started attending Hogwarts, a school for magical witches and wizards. The Sorcerer's Stone is a bloodred stone that Voldemort has kept pursuing, because it could make him have power over everything and make him invincible. However he could not find it. Harry found it, but through his battle with Voldemort he refused to give it up. That destroyed Voldemort, and Harry became a hero. This book is very descriptive and action-filled and that is why I rate it with 5 stars.

This book is so good . The first part of the story is so different from from the last part. I mean first he lives in a closet then he lives with Hermoine Granger and Ronald Weasly and wins the house cup from professor Dumbledor. Harry also often visites hagrid when he has time and is the champion of Quiditch !!!

This book is amazing! It has action and mystery all in one! wHEN HARRY POTTER FINDS OUT HIS PARENTS WERE KILLED BY A HORRIBLE WIZEARD, HE FINDS OUT HE'S ONE TOOZ!

Harry potter is so well known he himself never knew so. Untill his life totally changed when a beast named Hagrid came to welcome him to Hogwards the school of witchcraft and wizardy. This way he got a relaxing time to be away from his horibble uncle. Soon suprises started to unfold and he got to know himself better than he ever knew.

Harry Potter is a really good book but it is definitely different from the movie. I was surprised they could change so much and still have the same feeling in both.

This Book is one of my favorites. It is a story of how Harry's Aunt and Uncle keep secrets from him like Harry's parents getting killed by Lord Voldemort, the most evil wizard in the world. After these secrets have been uncovered, harry spends his year at a school of magic called Hogwarts. While Harry is there a lot of scary,action-packed things happen there.

this book is a intresting page turning book.once you started you cant stop .I like the ending when he meets voldemort.i reccomend tis book for teens who like fantasys.

best book ever.i love the ending

You have probably already watched the movies, but you have a lot of time this summer to read the books and experience all of the stuff not in the movies that make the books even better! Let your imagination go wild with his series!
