This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

It was exciting and much fun to read. It's an easy read also. I could not put the book down. While the plots and storylines are not complicated, they are completely captivating

I love the H.P. series they are AMAZING and if you are ready to be mindblown read these books.

OF COURSE THESE BOOOKS ARE TRUELY AMAZING!!! Harry Potter is the best!!! I recommend this book to EVERYONE, AND SERIOUSLY EVERYONE!!!! If you have not read these books yet, you are missing out!!! I had refused to read these books for about 3 years, and finally I read them and figured out just how much I was missing out!!!

i like harry potter and the sorcerers stone it involves magic flying burning and reviveing stones the person in the movie who made the sorcerers stone is nick fumel. harry potter has 2 freinds ron and hermione and he has a scar that lord voldemort gave him

I liked this book.I especially liked how Harry got the stone. It was much better than the movie because Harry seemed nicer to his friends, the movie left out multiple scenes and the book was much more detailed.

This book is very magical with twists and turns around every corner. Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone has a very gripping plot. Harry finds out he is a wizard, goes to Hogwarts and makes friends. A Quick Read!

This is the first big chapter book I read by myself. I wanted to read it because my sisters really loved it and I watched the movie. The book is even better than the movie. I really like the magic stuff that happens in the book. It would be fun to be a wizard and go to Hogwarts like Harry and his friends.

This is my favorite series. Harry learns that he is a wizard and he goes to Hogwarts, a wizarding school. He makes friends and feels like more a family than at home with his aunt and uncle and cousin, Dudley. His parents are dead and he wants to find out more about them. My favorite part of this book is when he finds an enchanted mirror. There's lots of adventures in this book. Don't let the size overwhelm you because it's an easy book to get through.
