A special new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, with a stunning new cover illustration by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick.

There is a door at the end of a silent corridor. And it's haunting Harry Potter's dreams. Why else would he be waking in the middle of the night, screaming in terror?

It's not just the upcoming O.W.L. exams; a new teacher with a personality like poisoned honey; a venomous, disgruntled house-elf; or even the growing threat of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. Now Harry Potter is faced with the unreliability of the very government of the magical world and the impotence of the authorities at Hogwarts.

Despite this (or perhaps because of it), he finds depth and strength in his friends, beyond what even he knew; boundless loyalty; and unbearable sacrifice.

This gorgeous new edition in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone features a newly designed cover illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Brian Selznick, as well as the beloved original interior decorations by Mary GrandPré.

This book really explores Harry's potential and his past, which opens up more surprises than you would think. The battle scenes are very complex and you may find yourself having to re-read them in order to get your head 'round what is happening, but as always, JK Rowling makes your commitment more than worthwhile.

A really cool book. Would definitely recommend it, even though it takes AGES to read.

Truly a amazing book! Makes all the other books look tiny lol☺

Love it !! This book has to be the best!!!!!

Harry Potter knows that Lord Voldemort has returned, but others aren't willing to believe him. The Ministry of Magic is calling him a liar, and the Daily Prophet is writing lies about him. To make matters worse, a new teacher named Dolores Umbridge is teaching at Hogwarts, and she's mean and says that Harry's telling lies. Also, recently Harry has been able to see into Lord Voldemort's mind, and Snape is teaching Harry Occlumency. Harry overhears that Voldemort wants something powerful, which he can only get through cleverness. What is it Voldemort wants? How is he planning on getting it? This book was really interesting and exciting.

I love to read Harry Potter. Get all of the books if you can.😍

The fifth book of Harry Potter. And he said "I know the news by listening to the TV."The Durslys had to keep him at the home and a denominator attacked Dudley and Harry had to explain what happened to Dudley. He went to wizardry school named Hogwarts and he sees Hagrid, the gamekeeper.Dumbledore had to bring him to a weird room full of wizards.
