i love spin-offs of other fairy tales and this book is exceptional. at first i thought that it was boring but after the first chapter you really get into it and it is awesome.

This book started out a bit slow, but as you continue your journey through the book things start to get interesting. And by the time you finish the book, you'll be hooked. At least, I was hooked. Now, I NEED to read Twice Upon a Time. Half upon a Time reminded me of The Ever Afters series by Shelby Bach. And no, I don't mean the Ever After High series. Anyway, Half Upon a Time is an awesome book for you if you love classic fairy tales that have a twist to them.

This book is absolutely amazing! I love the constant action and sudden events! The writing will lure you in as you follow Jack and May in their fantasy adventure!

Half Upon a Time is about a young boy named Jack living in a small town. His grandfather wants him to go rescue a princess like normal kids. Jack hates royalty and says he'll never do it, at least until a princess from the land of Punk falls from the sky. This book is filled with great developed characters, an intriguing plot line, and tons of humor. I love sarcastic and clever characters like Jack and May, so I fell in love with this books almost right away. The beginning is quite boring but I promise you that once you get past that part you'll find that it's worth it.
