Rachel Renee Russell serves up more laughs and adorable illustrations in the next installment of the bestselling DORK DIARIES series.

Nikki Maxwell has been doing everything she can to keep everyone at school from learning the truth--that she's there on scholarship in exchange for her Dad working as the school's exterminator. The last thing Nikki needs is having her friends and--worst case scenario--her crush, Brandon, associating her with the humongous roach on top of her Dad's van! Now it looks like her secret could be about to come out, and Nikki's willing to go to any zany and wacky length to prevent that from happening. The timing seems perfect when a major talent competition is announced with a school scholarship offered as the top prize. Nikki loves to sing and dance and now she gets to have tons of fun with her friends while competing for a chance to free her Dad from his obligation! (And free herself from all that potential damage to her reputation . . .) Once again, hijinks and misunderstandings aplenty ensue, as well as more hilarious and heartwarming moments with Nikki and her friends.

I love because Nikki is so sarcastic

So weird and dorky but interesting

Mackenzie had recorded Nikki Maxwell and her sister, Brianna, singing at Queesy Cheesy. She had told Nikki that she would post the video on the internet permanently. Nikki did not think she would do that, but she was wrong. Nikki did not want to be in the spotlight this way, however when she has to enter her school's competition for a scholarship, she has no choice. I recommend this book to people who like the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, or people who enjoy the other Dork Diaries books. I rate this book 5/5,

The timing seems perfect when a major talent competition is announced with a school scholarship offered as the top prize. Nikki loves to sing and dance and now she gets to have tons of fun with her friends while competing for a chance to free her Dad from his obligation! I love music!

In the third book of the globally bestselling "Dork Diaries" series, Nikki Maxwell returns with a crush who might like her back and a wonderful butterfly feeling from the Halloween dance the night before. However, Nikki's life doesn't stay peaceful for long: Brianna drags her to Queasy Cheesy and, to Nikki's horror, forces her to sing the Queasy Cheesy theme song in front of the entire restaurant. Nikki's relieved that at least there's no one she knows in the audience, right? Not a chance. Archnemesis MacKenzie Hollister comes and videotapes her singing, not sparing to mention that she'll post it on YouTube permanently! On top of feeling absolutely humiliated by the amount of attention the video is attracting, Nikki is also freaking out about a tuition bill from her private school that she can't pay. Her only hope may be to win the school talent show and get awarded a scholarship. She thought she was done with stardom ever since that horrible YouTube video, but it'll be a long time until Nikki's out of the spotlight.

This book is about a girl name Nikki Maxwell. One day, the principal tells her to tell her dad that they have a bug problem. Nikki does not tell her dad because she does not want to be embarrassed by her dad. Later, she gets a tuition fee bill for her school. The only way that she goes to WCD is through a bug extermination contract. In order to keep going to school, she decides to enter a talent show where you can win a scholarship. I really liked this book for the humor and the drama in it.
