"You didn't really need so many bushels of fruit, did you? They were just lying around, so I have returned them to the hungry people of Sherwood"- Robyn. Robyn's dad has always told her about the dangers left over from the Crescent Rebellion, but she never gave it much thought until, one night, her parents go missing. Now, Robyn has gone from the daughter of well known government officials to number one on the Most Wanted list. Along with her newfound friend, Laurel, she must right the wrong, and help the people of Sherwood, all while trying to find her parents. This spin on the well known Robin Hood book, will defiantly have you on the edge of your chair!

It was very good, but confusing at the beginning

Shadows of Sherwood is a about a young teen, Robyn, who Kekla, the author, portrays as a heroine. Although this was a nice book, and had some enjoyable parts, I think that Robyn was a little . . . over-portrayed. She escapes capture too often; I would like to see some interrogation, some prodding, some truths revealed, although the ending does hint at a sequel, which, if I am right, and Kekla DOES write a sequel, then perhaps it will have a little more of that. Also, a tad bit too dramatic for my taste, although I'm glad it doesn't carry on for the whole book. But Kekla masterfully sewed up all the loose ends, and if she publishes a sequel, I will read it.
