This book is amazing and you would want your children to read it and the rest of you family. This is a story full of love and promise and determination. I hope everyone has a chance to read it some day.

This book is so heart felt and one of the saddest books that I have ever read. The story is about a boy who saves his money for two puppies. They go on quite the advanture and it will make anybody, even non-dog lovers, cry.

Its a pretty good book that talk about a boy that live in a little town .he really want to have a dog and one day he founded a lost review to  buy puppies but his parents don't want to buy him so he start saving a lot of money ...

I love this book because it was a heartwarming story. It was about a boy and his two dogs.This was not any boy - this boy was loved with all his heart by his two puppy hounds Old Dan and Little Ann.These hounds were coon hunting dogs and they were crazy about coons.I would recommend this book to all my existing friends! Wilson Rawls is one of my new favorite authors. I am so excited to share this recommendation to you. Be ready for tears. This is a very touching story.

This was a book I read because Mr. K's reading class was reading it too! At first I didn't think I would enjoy this book because I am not that interested in hunting, but boy was I wrong! In my opinion, Wilson Rawls does an awesome job of informing the reader about the different aspects of hunting coons. I do love dogs, so I fell in love with Little Ann and Big Dan right away! The best parts of the book showed how Billy's character worked hard and was patient for what he wanted. Rawls also used words in such a way that I felt excitement when Billy was hunting and I felt extreme sadness towards the end of the book. The ending of the story also made me feel hopeful for Billy and his family.

I loved the movie and it was sad at the end though the two dogs they die but a red fern grows on them :)

This is a heartwarming book about how this boy named Billy goes through a hunting adventure. Through his adventure, he learns unselfishness, love, and death. This book will bring you close to tears and you won't be sorry for it.
