This Newbery Medal winner that has a fantastic puzzle at its heart has been called “smart and mesmerizing,” (The New York Times), “superb” (The Wall Street Journal), and “incandescent” (The Washington Post).

When Miranda starts receiving mysterious notes, she doesn’t know what to do.

The notes tell her that she must write a letter, a true story, and that she can’t share her mission with anyone—not even her best friend, Sal.

It would be easy to ignore the strange messages, except that whoever is leaving them has an uncanny ability to predict the future. If that’s the case, then Miranda has an even bigger problem—because the notes tell her that someone is going to die, and she might be too late to stop it.

i love this book, it is very DEEP, and the way it all comes together, you would have never expected, at first i wasn't really hooked, but as you get farther and farther, it really gets really good. I recomend it to almost anyone, but i must warn you, it is pretty mature

this book is really good. it is about time travel and it makes you think a lot and in the end the most unexpected thing happens.

I love this book it kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I even got sad when I read some parts.

When you Reach Me is a little confusing, I am about halfway through it and I really enjoy it. But, I do not really know what it is about yet. Time travel? I am taking my best guess and I am sure it will all come together in the end! Oh, and You can not put it down after you start it, it is like a magnet in your hand!

SUch a great book! Very mysterious and exciting! i is so hard to put down! i read it in a day!

My sister read. it. It's like a guide(to me). Winner of the 2010 John Newbery MedalFour mysterious letters change Miranda’s world forever.By sixth grade, Miranda and her best friend, Sal!

Why does this book have to rock my socks off?! I love it, it's just so sad though on what happens at the end. My favorite character is Marcus because he's super inspiring and he's a real important person in the story... and you'll find on who he relates to if you read it. Best. Book. EVER!!
