From #1 New York Times bestselling author Gordon Korman comes a hilarious and heartfelt novel in which one middle-school troublemaker accidentally moves into the gifted and talented program—and changes everything. For fans of Louis Sachar and Jack Gantos, this funny and touching underdog story is a lovable and goofy adventure with robot fights, middle-school dances, live experiments, and statue-toppling pranks!

When Donovan Curtis pulls a major prank at his middle school, he thinks he’s finally gone too far. But thanks to a mix-up by one of the administrators, instead of getting in trouble, Donovan is sent to the Academy of Scholastic Distinction, a special program for gifted and talented students.

Although it wasn’t exactly what Donovan had intended, the ASD couldn’t be a more perfectly unexpected hideout for someone like him. But as the students and teachers of ASD grow to realize that Donovan may not be good at math or science (or just about anything), he shows that his gifts may be exactly what the ASD students never knew they needed.

Saw it in the book order and can't wait to read it. The author wrote some of the books in one of my favorite series so I hope it's good

This is an awesome and an amazing book! I haven't read it since 4th grade, and I am in 6th grade now, but I remember loving it! However, I do remember it being full of mischief, fun, and about a boy who is just looking for a place to fit in and belong. I beleive that part of the reasons why I loved this book so much, is because I am still looking for a place where I belong.

Ungifted is a great book to read at home if your willing to really get into it and understand it. This book really goes in depth about what is going on and if you like non detailed books or stories this book isn't for you. With so much to tell this book is good for any hungry reader. You might even learn some math too. XD

This book seem hilarious.

the book is so good .i read it tiisw to be exat

This book was absolutely hilarious! It's about a kid who caused a great deal of trouble at his school. He got accidentally switched to a gifted school right when they are competing in a robotics meet. He may not be gifted, but he sure is what the school needed.

Donovan Curtis is downright not smart at all. I mean, what kind of kid jumps off a building with a toy parachute? Donovan is average, and he doesn't really care how smart he is. But one day, he is accidently placed into the gifted program, and then is shipped off to an Academy where almost everyone is a genius. He is in a class that is in the middle of building a robot for a competition. The robot, soon dubbed Tinman Metallica Squarepants by Donovan. Everyone is smart, so Donovan stands out a lot with his bad grades. But he is soon told he will have to face another barrage of tests, to see if he REALLY qualifies. It will really surprise you at who did something for Donovan. It is a really creative book, and a page-turner. Really fun and cool.

I LOVED this book. For a grade 4 it was pretty lengthy but I liked it because there were some pretty cool robots like Tin Man and also liked the argument of which school should get Donovan.

ha ha ha ha
