Queen Hildegarde is a book I had to read for school. Hilda is a girl from the city, selfish and gluttonous. She takes pleasure in buying dresses and eating chocolates. But her parents send her to a farm while they are on a trip. When she first gets there, she feels betrayed and wonders how she will ever make it through her stay. But she decides to become a new Hilda. She becomes kind and caring and is able to appreciate the beauty around her. This story teaches us to be selfless and let go of our pride, and we may find there are better things than dresses and sweets.
