great book I think it was a nice book not my most favor rite but it was still a great book I definetly recommend this!

This first book in The Cupcake Diaries is told through the perspective of Katie Brown. We find Katie miserable on the first day of middle school. Her best friend Callie came back from camp boy-crazy and part of a whole new group of friends. When it's made clear that Callie is in the PGC (Popular Girls Club) and Katie is not invited to join, Katie suddenly feels incredibly alone. Katie realizes if she’s going to survive middle school she needs to seriously regroup and find some new friends. But how? She bites into the cupcake her mother packed her for lunch and for a second closes her eyes. The sweet treat makes her happy—finally something goes right! Looking around her table, Katie notices the other students seeming a bit lost, as well. With that Katie and 3 other of her new friend get ready for the cupcakes, the buying and selling.
After getting kicked out of the popular group Katie finds some girls alone and starts the cupcake club! This book is really good
My lil sis absolutely LOVES this book. She has some reading development setbacks, and this series is starting to make her interest in books shine through! *emotional moment* ; )!!!

This book is great for new middle school students. Like Katie say's, Everything can be solved with a cupcake, this quote will really help her when her best friend, Callie dumps her for the "Popular Girl's Club". Even though her previous best friend dumps her, this experiance helps her in makeing 3 new friends, Mia, Alexis, and Emma. It's an enjoyable book for me and especially if you like cupcakes!

Katie and the Cupcake Cure is alright. It's about this girl named Katie who's going to middle school. Sadly, her best friend Callie is now part of the "Popular Girl's Club", a group of mean, popular girls, but Katie is able to make 3 new friends. Because of Katie's love for baking cupcakes, she invites them to her own cupcake club. When the school announces a fundraiser competition, they bake cupcakes for that. Along the way, they meet challenges and strengthen the friendship bond between all of them. It's kind of fun to read, but I wouldn't recommend it.
