"It's the worst thing we've ever done", said Josephine to her friend, the friend she seemed to have been waiting for all her life. Josie has recently moved to Webster Springs from Summersville and she is overjoyed to have found so quickly a best friend in Sarah, whose well-to-do family lives at the top of the hill. Perhaps it is because they both have brown hair and like to roller-skate and don't especially like dolls. Whatever the reason, Sarah, who used to be best friends with Kimberly Evans, is now best friends forever with Josie Wells. And now they are in trouble. Sarah had been having trouble with her piano lessons and josie offered to help. But serious practice gave way to a stand-up piano race, and now both girls are responsible for the expensive repair of the broken leg on the Prescotts' rosewood piano bench. How are two girls in the fourth grade supposed to come up with sixty dollars? They decide to go into business and hang JOB WANTED posters about town. And although some jobs come along right away, and their goal seems easily in sight, neither josie nor Sarah knows that their troubles are only just beginning-troubles with the jobs they take on, with Kimberly Evans, and even with their own "best" friendship.

This book is very cool. Josiphine and her friend broke a piano chair. for each piano chair, it coast 60 dollars. They were trying to raise money by doing jobs for people. The very sad part about this book is, the kids were taking care of a fish and it then got sick an died. The parent was very sad. Then a cat was missing that they were taking care of. The cat was missing for a long time. This story was very interesting. I really l loved this story.
