This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

I LOVE this book!!!!!!!!!!! Harry Potter is an orphan boy who lives at his aunt and uncle's house and is treated really badly. Until a mysterious letter arrives… I would TOTALLY recommend this book!

i love the harry potter books they are amazing

i'm a HUGE harry potter fan!! GO SLYTHERIN AND RAVENCLAW!!

Harry Potter was an ordinary boy living with his aunt, uncle, and cousin. His parents death was unknown to him. On his birthday an unusually 'big' man comes to visit. Read to go on an adventure with Harry Potter and his friends. This book is a magical, mysterious, and adventurous book. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO THOSE WHO LOVE ADVENTURES AND MAGIC!!!

I liked this book because, at the beginning, Harry's parents get killed by Voldemort, and Harry has to live with his aunt and uncle, who hate him. Then one day, they got a lot of letters for Harry, there were so many, that they had to leave their house. One night, Hagrid came to pick Harry up and get him his supplies for Hog Warts. The next day, Hagrid took Harry to Hog Warts, where Harry learns a lot of wizzardry, because Harry finds out he is a wizzard. Harry is on a qudditch team for Gryffindor. Then one night, Harry went through a trap door that led to the Sorcerer's Stone, and he fought Voldemort and drove him away. That's why i liked this book.

Harry Potter has no idea how famous he is but when he finds out he's a wizard he has a rough start. And he meets a lot of new friends.

This is a well written fantasy tale that takes you to another world. It is a tale of a young boy and the wizard if world. It has well developed side characters, and no plot holes. I really loved this book.

I read the Harry Potter books like two or three times a year, the whole series. This one is even better when you reread it!

Harry Potter is a wizard that defeated voldermort ( an evil dark wizard that wanted to take over the world) When he goes to wizard school aka Hogwarts he is famous
