Beauty and the Beast fans: satisfy your fairy tale cravings with the New York Times bestseller RED, a spellbinding adventure that features a brave heroine, plenty of pixies, a beast like no other, and a beauty too!

Red is not afraid of the big bad wolf. She’s not afraid of anything . . . except magic. But when Red’s granny falls ill, it seems that only magic can save her, and fearless Red is forced to confront her one weakness.

With the help of a blond, porridge-sampling nuisance called Goldie, Red goes on a quest to cure Granny. Her journey takes her through dwarves’ caverns to a haunted well and a beast’s castle. All the while, Red and Goldie are followed by a wolf and a huntsman—two mortal enemies who seek the girls’ help to defeat each other. And one of them just might have the magical solution Red is looking for. . . .

Liesl Shurtliff weaves a spellbinding tale, shining the spotlight on a beloved character from her award-winning debut, Rump: The True Story of Rumpelstiltskin.

"Moving and filled with hope . . . the charm of Shurtliff's retelling is how she imbues the storybook tropes with vibrant humanity."—Shelf Awareness, starred review

And don't miss Jack: The True Story of Jack and the Beanstalk, "a delightful story of family, perseverance and courage" (Booklist).

This is an amazing retell of the classic book: Little Red Riding Hood. Red reaches her granny's house, but her granny is sick. Her mission first directed toward finding the Curios Cure- All changed to something extraordinary: Making her granny invincible. As readers read, their emotions keep changing towards red and her mission. Which leaves two big questions: Will she be able to save her granny? Or will she fail? What if something else happens? Readers can only put this book down when they are done reading it, which is what makes it make such a good book.

This book was about an (almost) fearless girl named Red. The only thing Red is truly afraid of is magic . When her Granny is suddenly ill she is alarmed and goes on a crazy adventure filled with dwarves, magic, wolves, bees and honey to save her Granny. The only girl that will be along on the adventure with her is an annoying one named Goldie. This is an adventure for all ages !

Red. Is this the Red from Red Riding Hood? Yes. But this Red, is way more braver, and isn't afraid of anything. Except for magic... When Red finds out that her grandma starts feeling ill, she starts panicking and starts looking for ways to heal her. When Red's grandma finds out that Red is going out on adventures, she keeps telling Red to stop and that everyone dies. Red doesn't listen because Red's grandma has always been in her life. Red goes on an amazing adventure that all kids should experience on the sidelines. When I say experiencing it on the sidelines, I mean to that kids will enjoy this story as if they are in this story as spectators. I think that everyone should read this because it is truly a respectful and true book. 5 stars!
