I loved “We Dream of Space” by Erin Estrada Kelly. Reading the book from three different perspectives, I soon learned to love Cash, Fitch, and Bird for who they are. Heartbroken at Bird’s attempt to try and fix her broken family, feeling bad for Fitch when all he wanted to do was be nice but was pressured to make fun of a girl, and Cash, who is one year behind and doesn’t think he is good as anything. As the story goes on and the plot unfolds you will see the characters unfold as well. Bird looking forward to the space shuttle “Challenger” launching into space only to find out that it exploded 73 seconds after takeoff. Fitch calling Amanda Piper, who really is a nice girl, a fat ugly cow because she calls him Henry instead of his real name. Cash dreaming of being liked by his crush, Penny, only to find out she is dating a “nerd” called Charlie. The three must stick together to face all these hard problems together. This book totally deserves its Newbery Honor Medal in every single way! Have fun reading this book :)Almost 2 years agoloketoke added a book review.
