wingfeather's book review was featured in On the Edge of the Dark Sea of Darkness: Adventure Peril, Lost Jewels, and the Fearsome Toothy Cows of Skree (The Wingfeather Saga).
This book begins the epic Wingfeather Saga (my username? get it? i'm so obsessed!). The three Igiby children's lives were fairly quiet, until their dog got in a fight with one of the evil Fangs in town. Their lives are totally changed and they begin to find out the truth about themselves. This book isn't as tense as the rest of the series, but provides a wonderful introduction to the world of Aeirweir. Sadly, this book doesn't get a lot of attention, even though it's sooooooo good. Beware the toothy cows! (totally serious.)Almost 8 years agowingfeather added a book review.

This is the best book ever!!!!!! Andrew Peterson's books have a truly magical feel to them and, even though the ending is controversial, the story is very realistic. Well, as realistic as a story including Fangs, dragons, and toothy cows can be! (Though I'm convinced all of it's real.) Andrew expresses human feelings better than anyone can, and every chapter I'd find myself saying, "That's it! That's what I've been trying to express my whole life!" I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants a fun, thought-provoking book. For Anniera!Almost 8 years agowingfeather added a book review.

I loved the first book, but this one was disappointing. It just didn't have the same magic the first book did, and had a couple of weird parts. I would definitely recommend the first book though!Almost 8 years agowingfeather has read this book.
