Katniss Everdeen's sister, Primrose Everdeen, or Prim for short had originally been chosen. But Katniss did not want her sister to die. So she herself said that she would volunteer as tribute. Peeta Mellark was also chosen as a tribute. Katniss and Peeta train every day and soon, were taken to make an "impression". In the blink of an eye, they were standing on the grass field, ready to fight to death. I recommend this to 13+ people. (Mild Violence and Death) by the way just to know Katniss won so ya.
