April Morning is about the change of boyhood to manhood of protagonist Adam Cooper. Set during the time of the Battle of Lexington, Adam lives in a time where he has to fight at only age fifteen. He experienced the loss of his father which changed his life forever. Although he did not kill anyone in battle, he saw events that most people would never experience in their life.
