If you happen to be driving by Stockholm's Arlanda Airport, you will probably notice the Jumbo 747 parked on the outskirts. While it may look forlorn and abandoned, it is neither - It is the infact the world's first Jumbo Hostel and, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country.

The 3,800 Sq.Ft. jet hotel houses 25 rooms, a bar and restaurant and even, a conference room. The poshest and most expensive accommodation is the Cockpit Suite, which as the name indicates, is where the pilots once sat and traversed the world. For business travelers in search of a good night's rest there is the Jumbo Single ensuite, while families have the option of the Black Box Suite.

Guests that don't care about the ambiance can book the plain vanilla 65-Sq.Ft. rooms that feature a bunk bed and room for luggage. In case you are wondering, while every room does not have its own bathroom and shower, it does come with a flat screen Television!

And, it gets better - For those visiting the country for a short time, the hostel offers an exciting place for a quick excursion. Besides the cafe, which provides a great view of the airplane and the taxi-runway, the hostel also allows visitors to walk along the left wing during the summer, so that they can experience how it feels to stand atop a real Jumbo Jet's wing - Pretty awesome!

The unusual abode is the brainchild of Oscar Dios, who purchased the abandoned jet and turned it into a must-see destination. Maybe other entrepreneurs will follow suit with the myriad of airplanes that get grounded each year!
