Blades of Freedom (Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales #10): A Louisiana Purchase Tale

Blades of Freedom (Nathan Hale's Hazardous Tales #10): A Louisiana Purchase Tale

By Nathan Hale

bsc

What a good book! Nathan Hale is telling another tale now, and this one is about the Louisiana Purchase. There were lots of slaves in Haiti. Napoleon is in the French Army and government now. You learn about the Haitian Revolution, enslaves people, and, of course the Louisiana Purchase! This graphic novel ties history, some humor, and everything in between. My favorite character was probably Hangman! I really liked how funny he was, and I kept on cracking up because of him. Warning: this book contains slavery, so you may want to talk to a trusted adult after reading, Happy reading!

Big Nate: Welcome to My World

Big Nate: Welcome to My World

By Lincoln Peirce

Welcome to My World was a book that was OK at best, it didn't have me rolling on the floor laughing at it's humor but it was still a fine book to read. I enjoy most of the Big Nate books and this one was fine too, just not as comical, I would say read it if it sparks your interest, but don't if it dosen't.
