One of the many Great Illustrated Classics, The Phantom of the Opera describes a young lady, Christine Daae, who has just gotten her start as an opera singer. Once the Phantom gets ahold of Christine & her beautiful voice, he attempts to woo her. Although Christine cares dearly for the Phantom, she is in a restrained relationship with Raoul, a Count she knew from her childhood. While the reader is cast upon the spell of the Phantom, one wonders if the Angel of Music will ever reveal the true face he bears...
