The Hidden Staircase (Nancy Drew Mystery Stories #2)

The Hidden Staircase (Nancy Drew Mystery Stories #2)

By Carolyn Keene

I love this book! It is about a young detective named Nancy. She goes off to help out with a mystery of a ghost that has been bugging her friends aunt for a long time. While she tries to solve the mystery, she finds unexpected clues. She also finds a hidden staircase! The hidden staircase is where the person/ghost must have been hiding to get from place to place. In the end, the ghost was caught and Nancy went back home to her father and housekeeper in River Heights.

Framed!

Framed!

By James Ponti

Framed! A T.O.A.S.T Mystery by James Point is probably one of the best books I have ever read. The book is about a kid named Florian Bates who works for the FBI. Florain is kidnapped and recounts his adventures to the readers. His family moves around a lot and they just moved to Washington D.C. After a whirlwind of events, he sees what the FBI didn't. He solved the case of the 3 missing paintings. Or was it 4? Florain is asked to become a covert asset. He will work for the FBI undercover using a different name. Along with his best friend Margret he will try to figure out who was behind all the missing paintings. But will they succeed? And will he be able to finish his homework on time? I really loved this book because it has all the elements for a good book. This book appeals to 5-7th graders.

All Nancy Drew did was invite a mail man to her house for refreshments, after all he is retiring soon, how bad can it be? Well, when his pouch and its contents get stolen Nancy finds herself plunged into another mystery, which might just be connected to her mysterious letter........ Poached (FunJungle)

Poached (FunJungle)

By Stuart Gibbs

This is the second book in the FunJungle series by Stuart Gibbs, Teddy gets accused of stealing a koala by Large Marge, the head of security, who has a serious grudge on Teddy because he is always playing pranks. But he would never break the law! In order to prove his innocence, he has to find the real kidnapper, even though J.J. McKracken told him not to, or else he might fire his parents. Teddy, once again turns out to be smarter than Large Marge, who is so focused on busting him, she almost lets the kidnapper get away. On top of all that, he is getting bullied at school, but in the end, everything turns out fine, and Teddy even ends up at the popular table in the cafeteria. This book was all right, but I think that all of Stuart Gibbs' books are pretty much the same, it's always the same plot, same writing style, and same character personalities. My favorite series of his is Spy School, but after that it gets pretty repetitive.

Bad News (The Bad Books)

Bad News (The Bad Books)

By Pseudonymous Bosch

I just finished a book called "Bad Luck" by Pseudonymous Bosch. The genre is fantasy because there are fantasy creatures in the book. I rated it " just right" on a scale of 1 to 5 of easy, going up to challenging. I think I would recommend this book for grades 4 to 6. I really liked this book, but it is the third in a series, so you should start with the first two which are really good too.

Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25

Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25

By Richard Paul Evans

The author of the book Michael Vey the Prisoner of Cell 25 by Richard Paul Evans is a science fiction book. The book (in my opinion) was a 10/10 would read again kind of book. It was just the right thing for me, it had plenty of action and it had lots of suspense. This is just the kind of book you would get if you wanted action and suspense. The first character introduced is Michael Vey, a bullied daily, short kid. He also only has one friend, Ostin, a chubby little Einstein. But their life changes when they meet Taylor, a popular cheerleader. You're probably wondering, “how did everything change for them??” Well, Michael has an electricity power, as seen on the cover of the book. (And told at the beginning too.) when Michael meets Taylor, it's when he was being bullied and getting dog piled. When he had enough of it, he shocked the three of the bullies. But what he didn't know, was that Taylor saw it all. Then, Taylor runs back inside the school, and the chapter ends there. Later on, when Michael and Taylor are friends, he find out that Taylor can “reboot” people. (Reboot as in, restarting your computer.) then, when Taylor tries to look up her birth documents, (because they were lost and she was adopted.) the Elgen academy finds her. Michael and Ostin don't know this at first but when they do find out, they get even more worried because Michael's mom was kidnapped on his birthday party by Elgen academy, and now, Taylor was gone. If you’re still not interested, this book is just as good as the Percy Jackson series! It would be a perfect match for anyone that likes that series! In conclusion, the book, Michael Vey, The Prisoner of Cell 25 is a great book for people that like action and lots of suspense.
