I Funny: School of Laughs

I Funny: School of Laughs

By James Patterson

Wow! Just wow. You might underestimate this sit-down stand-up comedian, but underestimate no longer! Jamie Grimm is NOT another handicapped character to be pitied. He is, however, a boy who was involved in a car accident which caused him to be paralyzed from the waist down. But Jamie overcomes this with jokes. Knock-knock jokes, one-liners, puns, riddles, you name it, Jamie says them all! In this book, Coach Ball, the sports-obsessed principal, wants to close the library and use it as a sweat room for the wrestling team. Fortunately, the school board comes up with an idea: if the library can show that a majority of the students use the place, then it won't close. But here's the catch: they have to do this by the end of the month. That's when Jamie and his friends have this great idea- he teaches a joke school in the library for kids who want to be comics like him. The only thing that's a bit off with the book is that there is a pattern of him being bullied, and the author shows it in (sometimes) a way that might make you think he should be pitied. But this is the truth: HE FUNNY!

I Funny TV: A Middle School Story

I Funny TV: A Middle School Story

By James Patterson, Chris Grabenstein

Jamie's happily-ever-after was short-lived–yes, he won the contest that he always dreamed of, but there's a catch. He did get his million bucks–but he signed a contract (he thought it was a receipt). Turns out, the moolah was just an advance payment for a pilot of his own TV show–Jamie Funnie. To make matters worse, there's a new bully in town, Jamie worries (and sweats) that he's not funny, his friends can't count on him anymore, his new teacher can teach six weeks worth of school in six minutes, and...well, I'll let you find out the rest when you read it. Just steer clear of Stewart Johnson and his bad jokes and you'll love this book just as much as I did!

Middle School: From Hero to Zero

By James Patterson, Chris Tebbetts

After sixth grade, the very worst year of his life, Rafe Khatchadorian thinks he has it made in seventh grade. He's been accepted to art school in the big city and imagines a math-and-history-free fun zone. Wrong! It's more competitive than Rafe ever expected, and to score big in class, he needs to find a way to turn his boring life into the inspiration for a work of art. His method? Operation: Get a Life! Anything he's never done before, he's going to do it, from learning to play poker to going to a modern art museum. But when his newest mission uncovers secrets about the family Rafe's never known, he has to decide if he's ready to have his world turned upside down. James Patterson's winning follow-up to "Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life" is another riotous and heart-warming story about living large.

Dracula

Dracula

By Bram Stoker

Bram Stoker’s Dracula is a classic novel horror based in the United Kingdom. I would recommend this story to people that enjoy horror stories. The beginning of this story entices the readers to read more. Not being a horror story fan I lost interest after the third chapter. This story is about the notorious Count Dracula, king of vampires, and Van Helsing the known Vampire hunter, and his group of comrades. For those that enjoy vampire stories this is one of the books you need to read, it introduces a new person that most vampire fans do not know about. You learn about Van Helsing and his understudy, Lucy western and Count Dracula.
