My students absolutely hated to put the book down. McSwigan leaves you with so many cliffhangers you want to read what happens next. They begged me to read "just one more chapter". It's great when kids want to read.

it was a interesting book about how three people escaped the most highly protected prison at the time. It explained details on how they escaped and at the end pictures of what they used to trick the prison guards.I would rather read fantasy though.

Francine Greens's life at All Saints School for Girls could not be more boring. Until her neighbor, Sophie Bowman, who has been kicked out of more school than she can count, transfers. Soon her school is filled with eventful days. Not many people like Sophie, but Francine certainly everyone.

I rated this book a 4 because it is not something I would usually read but it was a great book. It is a story based on a girl named Ann Frank. In the story ann's master goes into dept and as to sell his slave to save himself. But Ann wants to keep her family together to they are forced to try and escape through to the underground railroad. If you like my description you should probably read it. It's a good book you won't regret it.

Lincoln's Little Girl, written by Fred Trump, is a good book and a true story. Grace Bedell, Lincoln's little girl, wrote him a famous letter telling him to "let his whiskers grow", right before the presidential election. Lincoln didn't have any girls, so he decided to listen to grace's advice, just as he would if he had a daughter, and grow a beard. She even got kissed by Lincoln himself when his train came through where she lived on his way to Washington D.C. right after the election. But what happened to 11 year-old Grace after that? She grew up, got married, and had a long life. But what happened during her life? Read the book to find out. I recommend if you like history to read this book. It is a little harder to process and read, so I think ages 11- adults would enjoy this historical book.

I Survived the Nazi Invasion,1944. Shows 2 young kids,Max and Zena. Who struggle to survive during an invasion by the Nazis . They don't have their dad so it is harder of a challenge. If you like learning facts about world war,or want to learn how they survived this is the book for you.

"The Boy on the Wooden Box" is a wonderful book that I highly recommend. I seriously read it in one day and I still had time to start a new book. It was THAT GOOD! "The Boy on the Wooden Box" is a true story of Leon Leyson who was one of the youngest people to be put on Schindler's list. Leon tells his horrible beyond belief war stories. When a Polish & Jewish boy named Leon was about 8 there were signs of a war to come. When he was about 10 the war began. It started as "Jews can't do this and Jews can't do that" but nothing too extreme. Then the Germans then started banning Jews from schools. The Nazis try to make their lives harder by forbidding them from sitting on park benches well parks in general. These Germans make them wear stars on their sleeves to identify who they are. But since Leon is younger than 12 he doesn't need to wear a star. His friends stopped acknowledging him because he is a Jew. Oskar Schindler the Nazi gives Leon's father a job and things finally look hopeful. But when the Leyson family were evicted and sent to a Jewish Ghetto in Kraków, Poland everything dramatically changes. But things turn up for a while when Schindler gives work to Leon, his brother David, and his mother. Leon's family struggles to find work and are faced with starvation. As a growing boy he rummages through garbage cans to find at least a potato peel. He changes Ghettos and goes to a concentration camp but ultimately has kind Schindler to watch out for him and anyone else that works for him. This is an amazing book I did not want to put down. "The Boy on the Wooden Box" really shows the horrors of WWII and makes you feel so grateful for all you have been given and how lucky you are to have a roof over your head, warm food to eat, and clothes to wear. A fantastic read!

Wolf brother is such an awesome and interesting book. That is unreasonably unknown in my opinion. Set in Norwegian areas millions of years ago Torak an eleven year old boy just lost his father now he is alone with no clan. Until he meets his new companion and little does he know life long friend wolf. Together with the help of the raven clan they will find out the truth about what or who really killed his father. I recommend to EVERYONE!!!!

BEST BOOK ON EARTH! WHEN I FINISH READING IT I COULD START ALL OVER AGAIN! This book is about a girl named Clara Wintermute the only child of a wealthy doctor and his wife ( because her brothers and sisters have passed). One day she sees the master puppeteer Gaspare Grisini and his two workers (that are orphans) Lizzie Rose a dainty young lady and Parsefall whose secrets are to dark to discover. Clara became spellbound by their act and invites them to entertain her guests for her birthday party. Seeing his chance to make a fortune the master agrees. Lizzie Rose and Parsefall are amazed by the Wintermute home and they see Clara seems to have everything they lack; parents, warmth, and plenty of food. But what they don't know is that Clara's life is actually shadowed by grief, guilt, and secrets. When she vanishes the suspicion falls on the puppeteer. As they seek out Clara the orphans uncover Grisini's criminal past and wake up to his evil intentions. Fleeing London, they find themselves in a trap set by his ancient rival a witch with a deadly inheritance to shed the fire opal before it is to late. PLZ READ THIS BOOK< GET IT< AND LOVE IT! THANK U!!!!!

I read this for homework and it was like the WORST book ever. I hated how the chapters were separated and though the plot was interesting, it was terribly paced. DO NOT READ THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE OF BOREDOM!!!!
