Junie B. Jones and That Meanie Jim's Birthday
By Barbara Park
This was a great story. Junie B. finds herself in trouble when she is uninvited to Jim's farm-themed birthday party. My favorite part was when she tells her grandma her own version of Jim's party where he gets stomped into a flat pancake! Too funny!

When Hank gets ditched by Nick the Tick on a field trip to the zoo, Hank is completely lost! Soon, Hank meets a nice zookeeper who is in charge of Elsie the Elephant. Hank uses his imagination to cheer Elsie up and finds out about her talents. Go soccer elephants!

Leven Thumps and the Gateway to Foo

I love this book!!!! And I love how Geth is a toothpick and the turn of events later on in the series. So much better than any other book I have read.
The Adventure of a Lifetime
By Ravina Thakkar
This book was so amazing! I can't believe a 13-year-old wrote this! It's about a girl, Betty who feels that life is boring. Soon, she gets sucked into Amber the Brave's newest book and goes on an adventure. There's a twist that's so suspenseful, you're not going to believe it!
Bella Donna 5: Witch Camp
By Ruth Symes
This was one of the most fun ones. Bella and Verity go to witch camp together and meet old/new friends. Bella makes a witch friend and tries banana pancakes made from magic. The witches get to sleep in treehouses, which was really cool! I really enjoyed this one.

By Ellie Rollins
Life hasn't been the same for Lyssa since her mom died. But when she discovers her Texas house will be bulldozed, Lyssa travels there on her scooter to save it. This story shares wonderful memories of Lyssa and her mom that remind me of my relationship with my own mom.
I am Jim Henson (Ordinary People Change the World)
By Brad Meltzer
I don't technically own this book, but I've read it at the bookstore. This tells the tale of Jim Henson's childhood and all of his successful characters along the way. Jim has gone through a lot of rejection for his creations, but made a huge difference in kids' entertainment today.
Writer's Toolbox: Learn How to Write Letters, Fairy Tales, Scary Stories, Journals, Poems, and Reports
By Nancy Loewen
This book reminds me of how I first learned to tell stories in kindergarten. It teaches you how to write suspenseful scary stories, funny fairytales, detailed letters, and more. I really enjoyed it. I also liked reading about how to write your own life journal for beginners. Great for kids!
