Petty: The Biography

Petty: The Biography

By Warren Zanes

My book is called,"Petty" written by Warren Zanes, he also is the illustrator. This is a nonfiction biography book with 313 pages. Tom Petty's story still inspires people today, who want to have the positive, and persevering mindset like he did, through all hardships, his story will never be forgotten. Tom Petty as a kid got inspired for music from, "The Beatles". Also that boy started off as a teenager with a dream to a guy who hit it big in the music business. One struggle that Tom Petty faced was his band breaking up, Tom Petty got frustrated with that situation. So you can imagine the disadvantage going threw his mind because, he was the type of person who quits if it isn't looking good for him. Although, later on he learned to have more of an open mind. If Tom Petty learned at a young age that, people can be cruel at times, but to just use that to push you harder. For example, he probably wouldn’t of faced all those downfalls threw his life; if he knew before, he would of became a greater musician then ever. Additionally, he would of had a better reputation throughout his life.So from all of that, I can clearly say that, Tom Petty learned many lessons from his errors, like being a better person, and be more positive about things. Finally, I would recommend this book, “Petty”, for fans , people who are interested about Tom Petty, and of course, people who are looking to write an article about him. Why, because it gives so much information on Tom Petty, like what kind of person he was, and much more. Trust me, after reading that story I could write 6 legendary pages about Tom Petty, and I’m only a fifth grader! Over all, I would rate the book an 9 out of 10. All in all, If I had to ask one question towards Tom Petty it would be,”if you had to recreate one of your bands once and for all, final, forever, who would be in it and what would the title be?”

Lang Lang: Playing with Flying Keys

Lang Lang: Playing with Flying Keys

undefined

This book "Lang Lang Playing With Flying Keys" is written by Lang Lang, a famous pianist, Micheal French, who have already published twenty books, and Danlel Barenboim ,who takes the picture of this book. This is a 208 pages biography book, written about a famous pianist who have hardworking to become a world famous pianist. But on the way to be famous, there are still a lot of unhappy stuff like Lang Lang is very angry about his dad, by making him doing the stuff that he didn't want to do and his dad didn't want him to play toys. But Lang Lang is still getting in to playing piano. The main lesson Lang Lang learned is that don't ever give up on the thing that are hard or maybe you can't get done so easy because if not then it will be more harder than it is before. For example, when Lang Lang stop playing just because his dad is being mean to him so Lang Lang just stop playing. After three mouth when he start playing again, he almost for got all the thing he learned. So that's the most important thing he learned. I would recommend this book because first this book is good, it help more people knowing that being a superstar is not a easy thing, they have to be hardworking to became a superstar and don't give up on some thing that is hard. And the one unanswered question to Lang Lang is "if your dad didn't make you play piano then what are you going to do, still playing piano or not?"

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Original Screenplay

By J.K. Rowling

Ooooookay, here goes nothing… Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (FBAWTFT) was a novel (or script) that I loved/enjoyed. It was nowhere near Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, which was a complete disappointment… No, this is not the Cursed Child anymore because IT IS WRITTEN BY NO OTHER THAN THE AUTHOR HERSELF, JK ROWLING. Pheeeew…. This novel was AMAZING, it was surreal. I loved how JK Rowling based the whole thing on your knowledge of Harry Potter. Ex- Nifflers, Muggles, Ministry Of Magic, etc. ***Characters*** Newt Scamander is nearing the nickname, Lana’s Little Nugget Part 2, right after Ron Weasley. He is such a fragile little person, but ironically he is a full grown adult. I’ll give you a moment to think about that. Tina and Newt were the PERFECT duo. What I loved about this pair is because they love each other… as friends. They care about each other, and they do not fall in love like the typical boy and girl pair. Jacob was a very nice played character. I really liked how JK Rowling included a non-magic person. It was special because Jacob stayed and helped Newt and Tina even though he is not fighting his own battle. Doesn’t make sense? I don’t get it either. Queenie was… interesting. I’ve read about legilimency before in the Harry Potter films. But I’ve never read about a person that can do it so well. Did Voldemort do it well? I don’t think JK Rowling mentioned any of that. Hey! Person that didn’t read this book, this next paragraph contains spoilers…BEWARE….. Credence seems like a not-important-just-ignore-me-constantly-showing-up-kind-of-character. I just feel that he is misunderstood, not evil. In the movie, it shows that Senator Shaw picked up a paper that he dropped and said, Go put this in the garbage where you belong. And then, KABOOOOM. Senator Shaw is dead. Then, Marie Lou threatens him and, BOOM! She is dead. Lesson: Never annoy random squibs that are harnessing their powers. Okay, spoilers are done. You can uncover your eyes. Wait, no I am lying. Just a bit… Graves was…intimidating. Who’ve guessed that he was BEEP,BEEP,BEEP Grindelwald? But, they do have the same hair style so, should I say I saw it coming? Spoilers are done, please sit back in your seat and stop running around like an ostrich. In all, the novel was pretty good. (Oh, and the movie too). Both of these got a solid 4 stars from moi. Until next time, I’ll cry so JK Rowling can write yet another fantastic (beasts) novel.
