Jack lives in a fantasy world. Really. He's the son of the infamous Jack who stole the magic beans from the giant, and he's working hard to restore his family's reputation. He finds the perfect opportunity when a "princess" lands in front of him, apparently from the land of Punk, as her Punk Princess t-shirt implies. May is from our world, and she's utterly confused to find herself in the midst of the fairy tale characters she has read about. But Jack and May have more in common than they realize--and together, they embark on a hilarious and wild adventure in this highly accessible, modern middle grade fantasy novel.

Half Upon a Time is the first book in the Half Upon a Time series.

i decided to read this book because i looked at it and at first when i saw the princess i told my self i am going to love this book and when i read it i thought its better than i expected it to be hope you read it and love it bye love lesliee

Jack so likes May. I am so serious! And Phillip is getting in the way! Someone needs to kill him off in the end! That would be so much better! Follow me! :-)

I'm almost done with this book. It is now my favorite book! It's about a boy who's grandfather wants him to rescue a princess. He said to him, "If it's that easy then why can't one just fall into my arms." And that's when a girl fell from the sky. In Jacks home It's like a fantasy world. They go on a ton of adventures. And there are a lot of surprises toward the end. I'm almost done reading and I would highly recommend it!

My mom made me read this book and at first I really didn't like it and thought it was boring but then I got to about page 50 and It was a lot more interesting!
