Harry Potter has no idea how famous he is. That's because he's being raised by his miserable aunt and uncle who are terrified Harry will learn that he's really a wizard, just as his parents were. But everything changes when Harry is summoned to attend an infamous school for wizards, and he begins to discover some clues about his illustrious birthright. From the surprising way he is greeted by a lovable giant, to the unique curriculum and colorful faculty at his unusual school, Harry finds himself drawn deep inside a mystical world he never knew existed and closer to his own noble destiny.

This is the beginning of the enchanting world of Harry Potter. I will not be a spoiler for those of you who have not read it, but will tell you one or two things: it is a very good book, and it is when Harry discovers that he is a wizard.

This book was awesome, it was full of adventure and though it was pretty long it was worth reading, I also read the next book which is pretty cool too. The Harry Potter series is addicting and I always wish that I was a witch. Then I wouldn't have to clean my room the muggle way! :)

J.K. Rowling did a great job whiting her fist book in an amazing series. She did a good job explaining everything without it sounding boring. Amazing book I would recommend to anyone, even if they didn't like reading.

i really love this book and it only took me like 2 weeks to read it. I think the book is way better than the movie because the book had a lot more details.
