First there was the Milwaukee Zoo that provided their primates with iPads - complete with free apps and games and now, Smithsonian's National Zoo that has equipped their otters with a keyboard so that the animals can show off their musical talent.

While the Asian small-clawed otter musicians are certainly a visitor draw, zoo officials say that the reason for the keyboard is largely to enhance the well-being of the captive animals. They believe that it helps the otters stay active and engaged in their environment and most importantly, keeps them happy!

These are not the only lucky National Zoo animals to get musical instruments - The orangutans received xylophones, while the bears got harmonicas. As for the gorillas? They had to settle for musical apps on their iPads! Now all the animals need to host their own summer concert series, is a vocalist!
