Hank LOVES baseball. L-O-V-E-S it! Unfortunately, though, he's not very good at the game. So everyone is surprised--including Hank himself--when Hank throws a zinger pitch at a practice for P.S. 87's annual School Olympiad baseball game. Hank knows how he pitched the "Zippity Zinger"--it must have happened because he accidentally wore his sister Emily's lucky monkey socks! Because of that stellar pitch, Hank has been chosen to pitch for P.S. 87 for the Big Game. The pressure is on--Hank's got to wear those socks again, or risk blowing the biggest ball game of his life. The only problem is, Emily wants to wear the lucky monkey socks herself since she's competing in the Brain Buster for the Olympiad. Will Hank be able to pull off another Zippity Zinger--or will he strike out?

This is another hilarious book with Hank and the trouble he finds himself in. The authors seem to change things up a bit in the ending of this story. It was nice to see Hank, who has such a hard times with school, come out on top and be a hero of his team.

Hank Zipzer is having unusually good luck. First, he pitches a softball perfectly. Then he gets a B-Minus on his history test and now he needs all the luck he can get in the final game. And why is this happening? His sister's monkey socks, of course!

The title of my book is The Zippity Zinger. It’s a story about a boy goes through many crazy adventures! Hank Zipzer was chosen as his softball team pitcher for the annual olympiad. He thinks he’s the worst softball pitcher in the world. My favorite part about the book is when Hank accidently wore his sister’s socks that was red and had monkeys on it, and later on in the day he was practicing pitching and he threw perfectly, and he thinks the red monkey socks are good luck. I would recommend this book to everyone because it’s funny and it will make you laugh your pants off.

If you are not reading Henry Winkler's books your missing out on the fun!!! : )
