Hair today, gone tomorrow...

After a tough day at school, I am NOT in a good mood. The perfect pick-me-up? A trip through our magic mirror! When my brother and I -- plus our new dog -- end up in the story of Rapunzel, we can't resist climbing her hair. Oh no! Her smooth locks suddenly look like they've been attacked by a cheese grater. Maybe a trim will help... Snip, snip. SNIP. Oops. Now Rapunzel's hair is too short and we're trapped!
So we have to:

- Find the tower's secret door
- Avoid getting swallowed by a giant spider
- Locate Pickles (aka the prince)
- Reunite Rapunzel with her parents

If we don't untangle this knotty tale soon, we could be stuck in this mess for good!

I read this book in second grade so I am not adding a rating. I do like how they use the original fairy tale as the bases of the story. They do this all through out the books and I truly do like it. I would suggest this for 7+

I love this book, I feel like I am in the story.

Abby's in a horrible mood. She just got eleventh place in the school spelling bee, even though she was completely sure she would win. She can spell! She's smart! So why didn't she come out on top? Eyes stinging, Abby simply grumbles irritably when her little brother Jonah suggests going through the mirror that night—that is, until she realizes that Jonah intends to go through the mirror alone. Abby's sisterly instincts kick in and she runs after her tricky little brother! This time, they land in the coveted Rapunzel story. They're thrilled to meet the actual Rapunzel in-person, I mean, who doesn't want to meet an internationally-renowned fairytale princess? But Jonah accidentally shreds and rips most of Rapunzel's hair by climbing up it with his soccer cleats. Oopsie! Now, Abby and Jonah race to save Rapunzel's hair—and, most importantly, her story—before it's too late. But along the way, Rapunzel uncovers horrifying truths that have been stored away for years, and Abby realizes that winning isn't always everything. This brilliant fifth installment in the Whatever After series is bound to raise the "hairs" (get it?) on the back of your neck, make you cry, and most importantly, make you smile.

This book was great! So Abby is coming home from school. She is NOT in a good mood. But when Abby and her brother land in the story of Rapunzel. They decide to climb her hair:). But her normal smooth hair is tangled and looks like it's been atcked. So they think to decide to give her a trim. Uh oh they by acidentally cut in to much of her hair and now they are trapped cause they can't climb down using her hair . So know they also have tasks to do! Really hard!? If they don't figure this out, they wil be stuck forever!
