Warren the 13th and the Whispering Woods: A Novel

Book 2 of 2 in the Warren the 13th Series
Warren the 13th is back in another lushly illustrated middle grade adventure.

In the spirit of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, this fast-paced and beautifully-designed sequel to Warren the 13th and the All-Seeing Eye is packed with nonstop action, adventure, and mystery for middle-grade readers. Twelve-year-old Warren has learned that his beloved hotel can walk, and now it’s ferrying guests around the countryside, transporting tourists to strange and foreign destinations. But when an unexpected detour brings everyone into the dark and sinister Malwoods, Warren finds himself separated from his hotel and his friends—and racing after them on foot through a forest teeming with witches, snakes, talking trees, and mind-boggling riddles, all accompanied by stunning illustrations and gorgeous design from Will Staehle on every page.

This book is second in the series of Warren the 13th. The story takes you to the woods as Warren ventures into the unknown territory with his new machine. Warren’s hotel is taken over by mimic, who wants to become the most powerful person in the world. As the mimic takes over the hotel and charms everyone, Warren meets a sapsquatch, whose friends are enslaved to Her Royal Darkness, Queen Calvina. Warren makes his way through the treacherous Malwoods, and he finally locates his hotel, which is slowly making its way toward Queen Calvina’s dark crater. Will Warren save his friends and family from the witches attacking his hotel? Or will the hotel fall in the hands of Queen Calvina? If you want to find out, you will have to read this book. This book gets five stars and is a great adventure book.

Meet twelve-year-old Warren the 13th, a rowdy little boy with a joyfully carefree life. This story was nothing but adventure, as if you are an invisible fairy flitting beside Warren throughout the story. The vivid, phenomenal descriptions are like none other. Several other characters adorn the plot and storyline. Through the fantasies of a walking hotel and a forest aswarm with sly little witches, you'll be amazed at all of the places that you may go.
