During the opening game of the International Warcross Championships, she accidentally becomes part of the action and becomes an overnight sensation. Convinced she will be arrested, she is shocked when she receives a call from Hideo Tanaka, the game's creator. Every one of Marie Lu's novels is a cinematic experience, but Warcross, in particular, was just so lovely and intricate. I loved the gamer girl vibe—Emika was such a fun narrator!—and every one of the settings in the book, be it a run-down New York apartment or a sparkling, fantastical level in the Warcross game, was described with such detail. I was literally dying on the pages at some of the plot twists at the end. The journey of reading this is so fun, and even when things hit rock bottom, I'm optimistic because Emika is so determined to do good. I'm so excited to read the next book, Wildcard. Thank you, Marie Lu, for yet another literary masterpiece.

i really loved this series! its written by marie lu, the author of legends. this book is super fast paced, but it keeps you hooked the whole time. it reminds me a little bit of ready player one.

This one of my favorite books ever. Warcross is a online role play game played through the neurolink or virtual reality glasses. Over time Warcross has gained popularity to the point where 97 percent of the people on earth use it. Emika Chen, is a bounty hunter, so she catches people that cheat their way through the game. During the biggest WarCross tournament she decides to hack into the game. Her hack goes wrong, creator of the game. Hideo Tanaka, recognizes her for being a great hacker instead of someone who basically almost ruined the world championships by hacking into the game. She joins a team and plays in the official games. She continues to try to find zero while playing Warcross, zero is someone trying to kill Hideo and no one knows why

Seriously.... This book is amazing. Its definitively in my top 10. 😁

i loved this book so much. BOOK CRUSH ALERT (at least for a while...) the characters are so amazing. the science fiction does not even feel like fiction, it feels like it is real life!

Amazing Sci Fi Amazing Sci Fi

World building, plot, and characters are all perfectly balanced. So much diversity and so fun to read
