Introducing Alice TodHunter Moon, a Magykal addition to the world of Septimus Heap! Perfect for both established fans of the Septimus Heap series and readers coming to the world of Septimus Heap for the first time, PathFinder is the first book in the Septimus Heap spin-off series, TodHunter Moon.

Taking place seven years after the events of the original Septimus Heap series, PathFinder tells the story of Alice TodHunter Moon, a young PathFinder who leaves her seaside village in search of her friend Ferdie. Rumor has it that Ferdie has been taken by mysterious creatures called Garmin under orders from the malevolent Lady.

Full of Angie Sage's characteristic humor and heart, PathFinder introduces a new cast of young characters—and a new kind of Magyk. All the beloved characters from Septimus Heap are here, too—Tod receives help from ExtraOrdinary Wizard Septimus Heap, ex–ExtraOrdinary Wizard Marcia Overstrand, and Alchemist Simon Heap. A great addition to any fantasy reader's library!

I won this book from Idogo. It was a book with mythical creatures, magyk and evil Sorcerers. It is pretty good, but it had too many conflicts.

This book is more of an after series from the Magyk series. It is great because Septimus Heap and his Sister tend to reappear throughout the book and remind u of their previous adventure while creating a new one. This series starts over with Alice Todhunter Moon (or Tod) who is both a Tomboy and a Pathfinder. She embarks on a Magykal journey to learn about her mothers past, where her father dissaeared too, and why there are snakelike creatures called Garim reaking havoc anywhere she goes. Follow Alice, err Tod in her adventure to beat a sinister plot and save her friends/family.

This book is a mix of magyk and adventure. It’s about a girl named Alice TodHunter Moon. Alice ------ who insists being called Tod------ and her friends are on a journey to find William Heap, Dan Moon, and the pathfinder village. The Darke lord Oraton-Marr has taken them because he wants them to drown when they are trying to find the Egg of the Orm. When Dan Moon was next to dive, Tod runs to Dan yelling “DAD!” But Dan had already dived into the water. That’s when Tod had to dive into the water. Since Tod & have special noses or gills they could breathe underwater. Underwater Dan & Tod signed to speak. Then Dan Found the Egg of the Orm and defeated Oration-Marr.

good

This book was AMAZING! I think everybody should read this book, it was with a mix of fantasy and magic; I'm pretty sure everybody will like this witty novel... honestly I don't really read that much fantasy book because some books I read that are in the category(fantasy/magic) turn out too be not to great unlike the Harry Potter series(GREAT fantasy/MAGICAL series) or the Septimus series(AMAZING)... but honestly this was really awesome... but also because I really liked the Septimus Heap series... this book added a nice touch to this series, but even though you didn't read the Septimus Heap series, you could still jump right in to this amazing book! So it starts off with Alice or Tod (she likes being called Tod) being new to be a pathfinder, searches out in a journey... I don't want to tell you guys to much because 1. I'll spoil some stuff (which i DO NOT want to do) 2. you have to read it, because it's that AMAZING!!!! It's just the story is fantastic, the plot and the character is original and witty... and don't get me started on the whole story... the details feel so real I could like sense that they are like right there... it's kind of like the Septimus Heap series, but with a little different style, but once you start reading you'll fall in love with this book (not literally) like I did, but you'll probably want more of these series... Anyways Tod tries to save Ferdie(one of her close friends) from the Lady(or actually the Garmin)... Now it's up to Tod and Oskar with a special wizard to save Ferdie... but saving others Tod may have to pay a price... What will happen? Can Tod help save friends, others, and even herself... and will Tod understand as a Pathfinder to learn and to know how to do some of her tasks? Well it's up to you to read and find out trekking through this mysterious and magical journey! I hope you guys READ it and enjoy!!!!

Since I only read the first few books of the Septimus Heap series and it was so long ago, I was a little confused reading this book, but it was easy enough to piece the story together. This story takes place seven years after Septimus Heap's last adventure, and is about Alice TodHunter Moon, a young PathFinder who doesn't know what she gets herself into when she leaves on a quest to find her friend Ferdie. Soon, she finds out that Ferdie was captured by a Garmin, a creature called a Garmin, who works for the Lady. Alice goes on a wild adventure to save her friend. Not ever really taking much interest in the Septimus Heap probably affected my liking for this book, because I was kind of bored most times. I know a lot of people will like this book though, if you were a fan of the Septimus Heap series and like books like Fablehaven, or take an interest in topics like magic.

please follow me, I followed you

I definitely agree - fans of Fablehaven will absolutely love this book!
