The brilliant and beloved gang from the New York Times bestselling series is back!

Since The Mysterious Benedict Society debuted twelve years ago, the series has become a modern classic, drawing comparisons to J.K. Rowling and Roald Dahl and selling over three million copies. Some time has passed since the inimitable quartet of Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance have had a mission together. But with the arrival of a new Society member -- and a new threat -- they must reunite to face dilemmas more dangerous than ever before, including the villainous Mr. Curtain and a telepathic enemy tracking their every move, not to mention a dramatically preteen Constance.

In its triumphant return, the Society encounters all new challenges, but the series' trademark sly humor, sweet camaraderie, hairsbreadth escapes, and mind-bending puzzles are all as engaging as ever. Fans of the series will be thrilled to see the Society has grown up a little with them, while a new generation of readers will fall in love with these irresistible adventures.

The Mysterious Benedict Society, a group of five friends who have completed tons of dangerous missions together, thought they defeated the villainous Ten Men. Most of them have been locked in the Citadel in Brig City, and their evil leader Mr.Curtain has been trapped inside a specially designed security suite on an island. A few years have passed since they defeated the villains. But there were two Ten Men who weren't captured, and they have freed all their associates. Now, they are on the loose in Stonetown, and they' re planning on freeing Mr.Curtain....and also take revenge on the Mysterious Benedict Society. Soon, they find that the Ten Men have a telepath, who could be able to track down their location. To save the world, the Mysterious Benedict Society will have to meet up again, along with their new friend Tai. The Mysterious Benedict Society has its own telepath, and they've battled the Ten Men before, but will they succeed this time? This book was sometimes a bit boring, and I liked the first book better, but it was a pretty good book. You should read it if you like books with lots of action.

Mm, this book is pretty okay I guess... It is different than the first trio of books . I could not really keep up with it. My friend loves it, but I am not certain. Everyone is so different, Tai Li randomly shows up, and devastatingly, CONSTANCE CONTRAIRE PRACTICALLY GAVE UP RHYMING SPONTANEOUSLY!😤😱😮😪😥😭😭😭😭 Also, the plot is hard to follow and I was sad since Violet Hopefield didn't show up in the book. Some parts are good, like when Constance yelled at Reynie and everyone. That was good. I wish I could do that to my sort of friend, who loves this book. But overall, the plot is less clever, TLS has lost a bit of his usual sparkle, and why on earth does Constance not make any epic poems? I loved those! Overall, there are clever plot turns but I couldn't keep up with it. It's like a tidal wave of new characters knocked me over. I do like how the author included each character's personal thoughts, but Tai seems like a minor character. 3 1/2 stars.🙃

It was different from the first three books. Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance are all much older. With the appearance of a new member and the rise of more ten men, they are forced to travel to where it all started- the institute. They change over those years. Sticky wants to be called George, Kate abandoned her bucket, and Constance is different than before. It wasn't the amazing book I expected it to be and I think TLS lost his writing style a bit, It dosent pull you in as much anymore. But overall it was OK.
