Jason has a problem. He doesn't remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she's his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they're all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for "bad kids." What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea-except that everything seems very wrong.

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn't recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?

Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What's troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all-including Leo-related to a god.

Rick Riordan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, pumps up the action and suspense in The Lost Hero, the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series. Fans of demi-gods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless--and panting in anticipation for Book Two. The accessible and dramatic cover art by graphic novelist Nilah Magruder will attract a new generation of readers.

I love this book because it inspires me to write my own book right now which is getting publish

The second book is about Percy Jackson. The son of Neptune

I was super excited for this book because I am a huge Percy Jackson fan! The books are the best, the movies are horrible. WARNING: DON’T WATCH THE MOVIES IF YOU LIKE PERCY JACKSON. You will get so mad you’ll want to throw a chair or book at the tv screen. Anyway, I read the book because it’s the first one of the second series of Percy Jackson. It starts with a fresh new batch of demigods, and the second book onward brings Percy into the story properly. The book gives you adventure, and I bet you’ll never guess who Thalia Grace’s brother is. I’ll never tell! Off to read another book by the great, the awesome, dun dun dahh, Rick Riordan! Bye!

This book was interesting! There is a HUGE twist at the end that will give you a tingly feeling. Overall, this was a great, action-packed book! I would recommend this book for ages 11+.

Very good book. I've always loved Rick Riordan's books and is still reading them.

My friends say I'm like Leo Valdez . . . lol he's my favorite character

great book . . . sort of boring at the beginning, but gets super cool and exciting

I think this book was great!

There was quite an impeccable sort of aura about this wondrous book. Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, and Jason Grace all go to Wilderness School, but the strange thing is, Jason doesn't remember a thing. Not even Piper being his girlfriend! When a crazy kid turns out to be a storm spirit and they and Coach Hedge get swept up to a weird place, things aren't so hot. But this place is for Half-Blood kids. Half god, half person. A number of strange things happen. First of all, this guy Percy Jackson is missing! Does that name ring a bell, people? Now they need to go on a quest to help save the world. Free Hera, figure out who is rising, and rescue Piper's dad, piece of cake, right? Wrong! With the three all godly children, monsters are out to kill them. What will happen? In this twisted, glorious book, find mystery in every turn! It's back to the library for me now!

I love it so much. That I have read of it
