A young raccoon named Chester is anxious about leaving home to go to school. To make him feel better, his mother told him a family secret: the kissing hand. So she gave him a kiss on the paw, and told him to press it against his cheek whenever he missed her. It's a very heartwarming story that I loved reading as a kindergartener.
