Nazi gun fire can only mean one thing...

The Germans are closing in. And twelve-year-old Anton knows his family can't outrun them. A web of underground caves seems like the perfect place to hide. But danger lurks above the surface. Ruthless Major Karl Von Duesen of the Gestapo has made it his mission to round up every Jew in the Ukrainian countryside. Anton knows if his community is discovered, they will be sent off to work camps...or worse.

When a surprise invasion catches them off guard, Anton makes a radical decision. He won't run any longer. And he won't hide. He will stop being the hunted...and start doing some hunting of his own.

Michael P. Spradlin's newest thriller is the ultimate game of cat and mouse set during one of the darkest moments in history.

This is a book about a young boy and his Grandma during world war two. The Nazis have been close to his house for a while now but they have gotten too close. Anton and his Grandma, Bube. They had made it to a cave which they camped for a while after a close encounter with the Nazis. They were able to camp out in the cave for a while when Major Karl Von Duesen stormed in. Everybody had to evacuate but Bube stood behind to let the others escape. Will Anton survive to help his Grandma? Will Anton save his Grandma from the Nazis? The Enemy Above is a thrilling, suspenseful story which I recommend if you like historical fiction or action.

I LOVED THIS BOOK it had a good mix of drama, horror, and humor just a little rough on violence but still a great book!

The Enemy Above The Enemy Above

The book The Enemy Above is the single greatest book I have ever read. I do not love reading books, however I had finished this book in one day without taking any breaks. It was thrilling, exciting, and had given me a deeper understanding on world war 2. If you are a fan of history, thriller and suspense you will undoubtedly love this book. For me this book is one hundred percent a 5 star. I have never read a book which allowed me to connect, and give me a life lesson at the same time. Anton's grandmother emphasized the theme and central idea of the story. For me, she was one of the greatest characters in the book. Reading this book allowed me to understand, connect and even visualize World War 2 and the holocaust. All hail Bube.
