This is a great book. For readers who are looking for good action, this book is for you! It's about a family who are stuck in a bunker for 6 years. They have to find safety, because Eli's father goes insane, and they have to find a way to survive. Will they survive? Read The Compound to find out.

I discovered this book about a year ago and wanted to read it all school year. Finally, I got to read it a few weeks ago, and it was most certainly worth the wait. It begins by telling the story of the Yanakakis family, the most famous and rich family on the earth. They are living in an underground compound, however, because of a nuclear attack 6 years ago. 6 years in a compound is driving Eli's father insane, and Eli and his sisters realize that they need to get out. This book is a thriller that keeps the pages turning. It's slightly morbid and it's a long wait for the book, but definitely worth it.

This book is absolutely amazing.The book is called The Compound and is written by S.A. Bodeen. This book takes place during a nuclear winter, the period after a nuclear bomb goes off. The books protagonist is a boy named Eli, his world was turned upside down when a nuke (antagonist) is dropped because his grandmother and twin brother don't make it. Eli is upset that the nuke dropped, then is afraid of his own father after six years have past. Eli's father pretty much goes insane, so Eli and the sane side of his family have to get out of the Compound. Will they make it out, or will Eli's father get them all killed? Read to find out. I liked this book so much because I like mysteries and the suspense that comes with them, I just want to know what happens next.
