Josie always liked visiting her grandmother in the countryside. But when her mother loses her job in the city and they're forced to relocate along with Josie's sister, Annie, she realizes she doesn't like the country that much. Especially because Grandma Jeannie has some strange rules: Don't bring any dolls into the house. And never, ever go near the house in the woods behind their yard. Soon though, Josie manages to make friends with the most popular girl in the sixth grade, Vanessa. When Vanessa eventually invites Josie back to her house to hang out, Josie doesn't question it. Not even when Vanessa takes her into the woods, and down an old dirt road, toward the very house Grandma Jeannie had warned her about.
As Josie gets caught up in her illicit friendship with Vanessa, Annie is caught in the crossfire. What follows is a chilling tale of dark magic, friendship, and some verrrrrry creepy dolls.

This is my favorite book of all time b/c I really like scary stuff like this book. There's a girl named Josie and her little sister, they move into the house with their grandmother. Josie always thought those rules were weird. Josie and her little sister go to school. Everybody make s fun of Josie but one day she makes a new friend named Vanessa. Everybody is afraid of Vanessa but Josie's not. Soon Josie and Vanessa figure out live next to each other. Vanessa's house is in the woods by Josie's grandmothers house. Josie and her little sister go to Vanessa's house and there are at least 100 dolls in the house. Vanessa gives Josie's little sister a doll and she takes it back to the house. They soon figure out that their grandmother is scared from Vanessa. But the grandmother is right Vanessa's mom and her are monster's who kidnap children and lock there souls into dolls. The Collector written by K.R Alexander, and was published in 2018. This book is about a girl named Josie has to move from the city to the country and now lives with her grandma. Her grandma has some weird rules though; 1. Never leave your windows open after dark. 2. No dolls in the house. 3. Never go by the house in the woods. Josie is happy to find that her school is normal. She makes friends with a girl named Vanessa. When Vanessa askes Josie to hang out at her house, she doesn’t have a problem, but when Vanessa takes her into the woods, and toward the house her grandma had told her not to go…. What I love about this book is that it leaves a interesting cliffhanger that makes you want to read more. I also love that Josie and Anna have to go on tons of adventures throughout their lives, but they aren’t easy. The interest level for this book is for grades 4-7. I would this to recommend girls and boys that are into scary stories.

I like this book because it's creepy and I like creepy books (I just can't deal with creepy MOVIES). It is about a girl that just moved in with her grandma along with her mom and sister. She is still adjusting to her grandmother's weird rules: Don't leave the windows open after dark, no dolls in the house, and NEVER EVER go near the house in the woods.
