This is the fifth book in the Wings of Fire series and wraps up the main storyline of this series so far while starting a new one. It was an excellent continuation of this series. I really enjoyed it. This book follows Sunny. Right off the bat Sunny is kidnapped by some NightWings, but she quickly escapes and ends up exploring the SandWing region and searching for her parents on her own. Sunny has many adventures and uncovers many secrets. In the end a new Queen for the SandWings will be chosen. Who will that Queen be and what sort of fallout will that decision result in? I have been reading this series because I love dragons. While I still think kids will enjoy this series more than adults, this series has grown on me. It's really well written and as the series has continued I have started to enjoy it more and more. There is a lot of adventure and action in these books. All the characters are dragons and they are all characters I have come to love over the course of this series. Sunny is an excellent character and I really enjoyed reading about things from her perspective. Sunny it the little dragon and the happy dragon. Her friends love her but always underestimate her. This is the book where we get to see how tough Sunny is and watch her explore her full potential. Additionally the Scavengers are in this book a lot more. A long time ago I figured out that the Scavengers were humans. We see a lot more about the Scavengers past and lives. This makes me think that the Scavengers will play a larger role in future books and also that the history of the Scavengers is most likely going to influence or has influenced this world in a big way. I am very curious to see how this series progresses. It sounds like book 6 in the series starts a different storyline. This book did wrap up the whole Dragonet Prophecy storyline really well and hinted at what the new storyline will be about. Overall I really enjoyed this book a lot. It does an excellent job of wrapping up the Dragonet Prophecy story arc. These books remind of the Warriors series by Erin Hunter, but are better written in my opinion. I think middle grade readers who enjoy fantasy should definitely check this series out. It is a series I think middle grade readers will enjoy more than adults. If you are an adult I would recommend checking out Sutherland’s Menagerie series; I feel like that is a fantasy series that adults can get into a bit better. I look forward to reading the sixth book in this series.

Sunny has always believed in the dragonet prophecy, but when she discovers its fake, she decides that someone has to end the war, prophecy or not. When she gets kidnapped by three dragons and escapes, she follows them, and then meets someone special, her mother. Sunny then finds out something that explains everything, why she doesn't have a poisonous barb at the end of her tail, why her scales are not the normal Sandwing scale color, and why she doesn't even look like a normal Sandwing. She's not - She's a hybrid. When she gets kidnapped again and taken to burn, she makes a friend, sort of. She is then rescued by her mother and the Outclaws and decides to back to her friends, on her way she meets someone else - her father, a Nightwing. The next morning she goes back to her friends in the rain forest and they decide that to many dragons have lost their family or even there own lives, they're finally ending the war. They contact all three Sandwing princesses and they all meet at the Sandwing palace. The war that has killed hundreds of dragons, the war that has been going on for almost two decades, the false prophecy that has been fulfilled, who shall be queen, Burn, Blister, or Blaze - maybe none. Find out in this epic book!

The dragonet prophecy isn't real. But Sunny still thinks there is still time to stop the war. Before she can do that she gets kidnapped! Even though it all works out when she meets someone special. While she is flying back to the rainforest Sunny thinks of a plan, but her friends don't think it will work! The question is, will her plan work? Will she stop the war and find the next sandwing queen or, is all hope lost? Most importantly, can she bring peace to Pyrrhia like it was before? Find out in, Wings of Fire #5:The Brightest Night!

Ok, so first of all, I want to tell you that I will spoil a few things so, SPOILER ALERT!!!! Ok so I just was really excited because since I started reading the book, the title role me that the war was going to end, in the prophecy page it said that on the brightest night, the war would end twenty years after on the brightest night. So the most interesting part was when the war was ending, the first time the three SandWing sisters saw each other in twenty years. So Burn, the oldest an strongest, was the first to die. Blister have her a present she would have loved it it was dead, but it was alive, the one and only snake that was strong enough to kill a dragon, so it but Burn on the ankle and the venom from its range killed her. Blister, my favorite, died second. The Eye of Onyx decides whether the royal dragon holding it was good enough to be queen. So Sunny told her mother, Thorn, that she would be a great queen, that Blaze was too dumb and Blister was too cruel. So she took he Eye and sadly, she died. So since Blaze was too dumb, Thorn became queen. At least Queen Thorn is a good queen, but I truly preferred Queen Blister, she would have been the MOST AMAZING QUEEN IN THE HISTORY OF PYRRHIA!!!!!!! GO BLISTER!!!!! .😢 thank you so much for following me!!! Bye my amazing followers!!!! I love DOGO news, don't you? You: YES!! yayeet! Ok bye!!
