love it!

This book is one of my FAVORITE BOOKS EVER!!!!!! The author, Christina Uss, tells the story of a very quiet orphaned girl who, one day when she was around four, showed up on the doorstep of a monastery in a pink shirt with a bicycle on it. Since she has no name, one of the nuns that live in the monastery, Sister Wanda, names her "Bicycle" after her shirt. She grows up living and being homeschooled in the monastery. Bicycle is a very quiet girl who has trouble making friends and is happy to stay in the monastery with Sister Wanda, the monks, and her beloved bicycle Clunk. But Sister Wanda thinks she should make more friends, so she signs Bicycle up for a summer camp called the "Friendship Factory" that promises "three guaranteed friends by the end of the summer". Well, Bicycle does not like this idea ONE BIT, so she decides to make a friend on her own terms. Bicycle runs away to bike all the way across the country to meet her idol, a famous biker who is holding a bike festival in California. She thinks she can convince him to be her friend so that Sister Wanda will se that she CAN make friends. On the way, her bike gets haunted, she meets a lady with yummy cookies, gets knocked unconscious, rescues a bicycle-obsessed racehorse, and saves a slow-food food chain. I think this book is amazingly funny and I totally reccommend it!

I love the Magic Tree House series and would recommend them! I love how every book is a new adventure.

This book is best book I have read in my life! This book draws you in to it and makes you want to keep reading and keep reading and keep reading. I definitely recommend this book to you if you like books, or even if you aren't that interested in books, I wasn't before I've read this book. Any way, the review. A girl has been locked in a room for over 100 years. One day a Jules and her family move in to remodel the home, Jules makes a friend from going to the library. Before that Jules finds out about Lily, her friend wants to help Jules try and save Lily from the room. They schedule a sleepover to save Lily, Can they save her? find out by reading The Girl in the Locked Room!

The book The Secret Garden was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett in 1911. It is about a rude and spoiled little girl named Mary. She came from India but isn’t Indian. When she was born she wasn't wanted By her father or mother, so they gave her to a lady to watch over her. Mostly, servants took care of Mary and had to do whatever she asked of them or demanded because people didn't want her to throw a fit or cry. This made her grow up, having everything her way and done for her. One day, a great number of people in the household had died from sickness or had fled away in terror and most everyone had seen to disappear. People later found Mary in her nursery and came to take her to live with her Uncle, who is depressed and ends up having no time to pay attention to or love her. Over time she slowly learns to do things on her own and not to rely on everybody else to do things for her. She finds out that there is a secret garden that her uncle’s wife used to love, but she passed away, Which devastated him. So, he shut away the garden and never wanted to see it again. He buried the key to the garden, and no one has seen it for 10 years. Mary later learns to like people other than herself and to enjoy nature and what it has to offer. She meets a kind boy named Dickon, who teaches her a lot about gardens and helps her learn about them. She starts to enjoy plants and animals and has the desire to learn more about them. She starts to spend more time playing outside and sees the beauty of nature. I truly enjoyed this book and rate it a five out of five. I would recommend it to anyone passionate about gardens/plants and classics. Thanks!

A Wind in the Door, by Madeleine L’Engle is about a girl named Meg, who has a six-year-old brother named Charles Wallace. Charles Wallace thinks that he sees dragons, but it’s really a cherubim. A cherubim is a creature that looks like multiple dragons, that has lots of eyes and wings. The cherubim’s name is Progo. Charles Wallace is sick and Progo is there to help Meg make him better. Progo tells Meg that in order for her brother to get better, she has to go through three tests. The first test is that Meg has to figure out which Mr. Jenkins, who is the school principal, is the real one out of three. Then, Meg, Mr. Jenkins, and Progo go inside Charles Wallace to figure out why he is sick. Inside Charles, there are these creatures called farandolae, and Meg meets one of them that hasn't become a part of him yet, named Sporos. The second and third test is for Meg to convince Sporos to become a part of Charles Wallace. At the same time, an evil creature called an Echthroi is trying to get Sporos not to, so that Charles Wallace will die, and the universe will be destroyed. I love this book and definitely recommend it. I personally think that the first book in this series was better, but this one was great too. If you want to read this book you should read the first one before you do. Thanks!

When Clara Barton comes to put wounded soldiers, Jack and Annie get to help. More than 3,000 Women helped nursing. It was a new job for them when Men where the only ones who get to be nurses. The Civil war started at 1861 to 1865. That's all but their books are the best!

But she soon finds herself lost in the Alaskan wilderness, without food, without even a compass to guide her. Slowly she is accepted by a pack of Arctic wolves, and she grows to love them as though they were family. With their help, and drawing on her father's teachings, Miyax struggles day by day to survive. But the time comes when she must leave the wilderness and choose between the old ways and the new. Which will she choose? For she is Miyax of the Eskimos - but Julie of the Wolves. LoL

Parvana lives in Kabul, Afghanistan with her mother, her father, her older sister Nooria and two younger siblings, Maryam and Ali. Soon after the novel starts, Taliban soldiers come into her house and arrest her father for not having an Afghan education, instead going to university in a different country. Parvana and her mother go to the jail nearby to see if her father was taken there, but the guards are unhelpful. Soon after her mother becomes depressed and will not move. The family starts to starve, as they have no male escort and so cannot go outside. Her mother and Mrs. Weera decide to make Parvana disguise as a boy by cutting her hair and making her wear her dead brother Hossain's clothes so that she can buy groceries seeing as she is the only girl who was of age and her body had not developed, and as it worked so well she starts to do it every day. Eventually, she continues her father's business of reading and writing letters for people that can't. Parvana runs into a girl who she used to go to school with named Shauzia who has been put through the same experience. They start to work together and soon become close friends. They were never that close in school but they are now trying to figure out ways to earn more money. They come up with an idea of a portable "shop" by using trays to move their items around. To do that they needed money to buy trays. They find a way to get a lot of money by digging up bones from a grave. Parvana also meets a family friend named Mrs. Weera, a former physical education teacher who comes to stay with Parvana's family to help her mother get well with her granddaughter and takes charge of the household because Parvana's mother has become severely depressed over the loss of her husband. Eventually, Parvana's mother begins to feel better and eventually teams up with Mrs. Weera and a group of other women to write the Afghanistan National Magazine, smuggling it to and from Pakistan to be published. Throughout the book, Parvana grows closer to her older sister Nooria, and becomes more responsible and stronger emotionally as a person. She also becomes very close with a woman who appears in the window of a building behind where Parvana works. This woman throws small gifts onto her blanket while she is there. The climax of the story comes when Parvana's seventeen-year-old sister Nooria announces that she is leaving for Mazar-e-Sharif to get married to a boy, because there is no war and she will be going to college. She leaves along with her mother and younger siblings, but Parvana stays since she looks like a boy and her appearance will be difficult to explain and be kept secret. Despite being against it at first, Parvana grows to accept her sister's decision. Parvana remains in Kabul with Mrs. Weera. One day after work, she meets a runaway girl from Mazar-e-Sharif who is deeply upset. Parvana leads her home at night, and soon the girl, named Homa, tells them that Mazar-e-Sharif has been captured by the Taliban. Homa's family had been murdered by the Taliban, and she had been extremely lucky to run away. Mrs. Weera gladly takes her in and Parvana is very worried since the rest of her family is there. One day, Parvana's father returns home, being led by two kind men who found him released from jail, but unable to get home due to the loss of his leg. Mrs. Weera, Homa, and Parvana nurse him back to health, and the novel ends with Parvana and her father leaving to Mazar, hidden in the back of a truck. They will search for their family in refugee camps. Shauzia, who had been planning to run away from her difficult family so that she would not have to marry and could start a new life, tells Parvana that she will be leaving with some nomads. They plan to meet in 20 years in France, at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
